not all fibre works the same β€” and when it comes to constipation, the type matters more than the amount.

research shows that psyllium (a soluble fibre) can improve constipation, while some insoluble fibres like wheat bran may not help β€” and can even worsen symptoms in certain people.

so when fibre β€œisn’t working,” it’s often not the person β€” it’s the type being used.

understanding how to match fibre to your digestion can make a significant difference to symptoms like bloating, discomfort and irregularity.
