September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

Early prostate cancer rarely demonstrates symptoms. Even when prostate cancer is advanced at the time of diagnosis, there may be no symptoms.

But what are the 5 early warning signs of prostate cancer?
• Pain and/or a "burning sensation" when urinating or ej*******ng.
• Frequent urination, especially during the nighttime.
• Trouble starting urination, or stopping urination once in progress.
• Sudden erectile dysfunction.
• Blood in either urine or semen.

It is much easier to treat this disease when detected early on. If you are presenting one or more of the warning signs of prostate cancer, then it would be wise to promptly consult one of our qualified physicians. Book a call now kfp.net.au/appointments

Cases of monkeypox have been detected in Australia, following reported cases in several European countries. Both are in men just returned from Europe. bit.ly/3bmCZGs

Health authorities have said the cases are not a cause for panic, but to remain vigilant for symptoms if you have just returned from overseas.

Symptoms of monkeypox can include:

• Fever
• Headache
• Muscle aches and backache
• Swollen lymph nodes
• Chills
• Exhaustion
• Respiratory symptoms (e.g. sore throat, nasal congestion, or cough)
• A rash that may be located on or near the ge****ls but could also be on other areas like the hands, feet, chest, face, or mouth.

If you develop symptoms, isolate from others, and seek medical attention without delay, making sure to wear a mask and cover your lesions or blisters if you have any. People who have monkeypox should self-isolate from others and avoid contact with animals, including pets, until the rash is fully resolved.

Two cases of monkeypox have been reported in Australia. Resurgence of this virus could be due to the ending of smallpox vaccination.

Jul-EYE is National Eye Health Awareness Month. The eyes are the windows to the soul, so it's important to take care of them. According to Guide Dogs , bit.ly/EyeHealth-Month, here are five tips for protecting your vision:

Tip 1: Wear sunglasses. Protect your eyes from sun damage and make sure your sunglasses meet Australian Standards (protection from UVA and UVB).

Tip 2: Get regular eye tests. Most serious eye conditions are more easily and successfully treated if diagnosed early. Early prevention now will prevent vision loss later.

Tip 3: Eat right. A healthy diet can decrease the risk of developing eye problems later in life.

Tip 4: Wear eye protection. Wearing the proper eye protection will prevent injuries from activities such as DIY and certain sports.

Tip 5. Don’t smoke! Smoking to***co is directly linked to age-related macular degeneration and many other eye and health problems.

Getting regular eye tests are essential to maintaining healthy eyesight. Book an appointment now kfp.net.au/appointments

The COVID-19 pandemic has forced many of us to change the way we work. For many Australians, working from home, even for part of the week, has become the new normal. There are many benefits to this arrangement (such as time and cost savings from not having to travel, and having more time in the day), but there can also be some downsides, particularly when it comes to our physical and mental health.

Here are some tips to help you stay healthy while enjoying the benefits of working from home.
