Every month, we organise a fun group get-together for kids aged 10 – 15, connecting them with inspiring young adult mentors as part of our BIG Connections program.

We always do something exciting, and this month, we went to Holey Moley!

Through the friendship, trust and support of an older, positive role model, the children that come along to BIG Connections have the opportunity to develop their confidence and self-esteem, gain new skills and new experiences, and also make new friends in a relaxed and inclusive space 🧡

If you’re interested in learning more about the program, you can call us on 1300 133 660.

When Nadine experienced her first depressive episode around her 20th birthday, despite her parents’ fears, she was relieved to have a name for her experience. In the years that followed, Nadine’s mental health continued to fluctuate but by her mid-30s she fell into a deeper depression.

Nadine wrote a book that explores her breakdown and the journey of healing that followed. She joins Brave Talks to share her story of what led to this breakdown and how, through holding complexity, we can continue to heal.
