Calligraphy Yoga Rozelle

Calligraphy Yoga Rozelle Calligraphy Yoga is a gentle exercise that benefits the mind, body and spirit. Classes every Monday Spiral movement is a major theme within Calligraphy Yoga.

From the spiral galaxy milky way to the tendrils on a fern, movement of a photon, our bones naturally spiral form. The physical understanding of internal energy centres such as the dan tien (enteric nervous system), meridians through breath, movement and mental release are foundations of the practice. Such foundations can be incorporated into traditional structures and poses from Indian and Chinese systems of movement. While the majority of Calligraphy Yoga is fluid, continuous and gentle movements, it is connected to a larger system of athletic performance, healing, and philosophical traditions spanning Taoism, Confucianism, Buddhism as well as modern concepts of anatomy and physiology. The classes are run by Certified Calligraphy Yoga instructor Sean Davis under Master Zhenhua Yang and will be ongoing. COST:

Day 10 of 100 of continuous steel hand. Means that I use small time for play and speed to reward the slow, steady and patient. Today I played with gloves.

Was fun letting go. Next step is to refine and adapt to different scenarios. But feeling the metabolism kick in. Strikes sinking deeper.

Same thing every day but fun and play staples to make the medicine go down. Looking forward to the 100 day mark to feel the difference consistency brings.

Half a tabata set before dinner. Earn food with burn beforehand. 4 20 second rounds of letting go with intensity for metabolic priming.

Some ting to play with. Ting in Traditional internal arts relates to listening and thereby sensitivity. While martial combat is straight to the point and not a dance. It is feeling and sensitivity that allows for expanding awareness from a proprioceptive perspective

Pads are a form of therapy. Focus pads for focused assertive energy. Good for stagnation and the liver. Deliver via movement and play. Getting back into pads for play with the side effect of assessing and playing with power.

Nei gong is like the gentle rain. It seeps deep into the earth creating well springs and nourishing the soil. Slow and steady is deep nourishment.

The Northern Rivers has many soothing sacred spots. This is one always makes me feel recharged and inspired.
