You’ve probably heard seed oils being called “toxic” at some point.
But it's not the case at all!
Seed oils like sunflower, canola, and soybean oil have been studied for decades and consistently shown to be safe to consume.
In fact, they contain unsaturated fats, the type of fats that support heart health when used in place of saturated fats like butter.
A lot of the fear comes from how these oils are used, often in ultra-processed foods.
But that doesn’t make the oil itself harmful. It’s the overall dietary pattern that matters most.
No single ingredient determines your health. What makes the biggest difference is regularly eating a variety of whole foods - vegetables, fruits, wholegrains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and quality protein sources.
Seed oils aren’t something you need to fear. They’re just one small part of a much bigger picture.
Focus less on fear, and more on building a nourishing, balanced way of eating!
