A Jumpboard class is a type of reformer Pilates workout where a padded board (the “jumpboard”) is attached to the end of the machine, letting you perform jumping movements while lying on your back.
How it works
Instead of jumping on the ground, you:
* Lie on a Pilates reformer
* Place your feet on the jumpboard
* Push off in a controlled “jump” motion
* The carriage slides back and forth using springs for resistance
So you get the feeling of jumping—but without the joint impact.
⸻
What makes it different
It blends two things:
* Pilates strength training (core, control, alignment)
* Cardio intervals (faster-paced jumping sequences)
That means your heart rate goes up more than in a traditional Pilates class.
⸻
What it feels like
* Rhythmic, bouncy, and a bit like horizontal running or jumping
* Alternates between:
* Fast jump sequences
* Slower core or strength exercises
Our interval training Jumpboard class goes for 55min (including machine wipe down at the end)
Wednesdays 6pm and Saturdays 9am! Check out our class schedule online, scroll to either $10 trial class or 5 classes for $50 (2 week expiry) at checkout!
