Every child develops at their own pace - but knowing the milestones helps you spot wins early (and possible concerns too).

Here’s a quick guide:

👶 6-9 months: Babbling, responding to their name, using gestures
🗣 12 months: First words + understanding simple instructions
💬 18 months: Words growing fast + starting 2-word phrases
🧩 2 years: Short sentences + following simple directions
📖 3-4 years: Telling little stories + clearer speech
🌟 4-5 years: Speech mostly clear to strangers + asking LOTS of questions

Milestones aren’t strict rules; they’re guides. And early support makes a BIG difference.

Here’s what we’re really targeting 👇🏼
✨ 100 trials – Repetition builds new speech patterns
✨ Token board – 10 beads = then a break (motivation matters!)
✨ Segmenting & blending – Breaking up and putting sounds together
✨ Following directions – With concepts (before…, first/last, top/bottom)
✨ Colour descriptors – Expanding vocabulary
✨ Sensory regulation – Hands busy = brain ready
✨ Sentence structure – Red=Subject, Orange=Verb, Yellow=Object
