The Manifesto

I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist working in Bondi NSW as well as online. www.the-manifesto.com. My name is Kareena Hodgson.

The Manifesto was born out of my desire to help people make sense of, connect and be present in their own lives. I work online as well as face to face. My online practice allows me to support people who may find it hard to make time for counselling or do not live in Sydney. I was a full-time professional international circus performer for 20 years, before I started training as a counsellor after the birth of my two children. My experience as a mother, partner, daughter, sister, performer and producer means I have a deep understanding of the multiple roles we play and the need for reinvention throughout our lives and my experiences provide many of the metaphors and analogies that underpin my practise.

OK 2024, that’s a wrap!

You’ve actually been pretty good to me. I’m finishing the year in better shape—physically and mentally—than I have in years. Finding balance, saying no, and prioritising rest and health has made all the difference.

This year included 830 counselling sessions across many countries (online and IRL), a couple of much-needed holidays, quality time with friends, and space to reconnect with myself.

I’m ending the year feeling grateful, hopeful, and thankful.

✨ My practice will be closed from December 14th to January 6th. See you in 2025!

Holy Silly Season alert. ‼️
A gentle reminder to those of my clients that like to drop in when life gets sticky. I only have a handful of drop in sessions available between now and January.
If you think you might need support in November/ December now’s the time to grab a session.

As always I can refer if I fill up so please reach out if needed.
