Hi folks! I’m excited to share that I’ll be playing a set of my original Turkish/English songs with my trio: Deniz Sagin on baglama and Andrew Byrnes on percussion at the global table festival Bondi Junction ! Come celebrate diverse music, food and culture next Sunday the 19th. The event is on from 11-4 and my set is at 1.50!

Global Table, Waverley Council’s annual celebration of our diverse culture, food and music returns to Oxford Street Mall, Bondi Junction on Sunday 19 May from 11am to 4pm.

Hi everyone. My name is Behiye (Be) and I am a registered music therapist (RMT). I just wanted to let you know about Fearless Voices, my mobile music therapy service operating around Sydney. I can run sessions in your home, residential care facility or organisation. RMTs are postgraduate qualified allied health professionals registered with the Australian Music Therapy Association (AMTA). Music therapy is an approved NDIS funded support under Capacity Building - Improved Daily Living.

RMTs are skilled musicians who are trained in understanding the effects music can have on the brain, mind and body using evidence-based interventions to support outcomes across social, emotional, cognitive, physical and communication domains. Sessions are shaped around participant choices and goals using a client-centred, strengths-based approach. You do not need musical skills to participate in music therapy - I will plan and facilitate musical experiences in collaboration with you. I use an array of engaging activities such as instrument playing, singing, drumming or songwriting.

Music therapy is an evidence-based, allied health profession in which a registered music therapist (RMT) uses the powerful tool of music to effect positive change in clients of all ages and abilities. Music therapy is effective as both a standalone treatment and alongside other therapies. You do not need any prior musical training to participate in music therapy.
