Privacy in Practice: are you managing the risks?

In a busy clinic, even small layout choices - like where screens are placed - can have a big impact on patient privacy. If a screen displaying sensitive health information is visible from a public area, it could lead to a privacy breach. And under the Privacy Act, even brief, unintended access can trigger serious legal consequences. While strong passwords and locked doors help, minimising screen visibility is one of the most effective ways to prevent accidental exposure of patient data.
