We are delighted to announce that late last week Board members of Quirindi Care Services (QCS) voted to join the Apollo Care Alliance. QCS’s not-for-profit aged care community, Eloura, near Tamworth, has been caring for locals for the last 50 years but has struggled to remain financially viable in the increasingly challenging regulatory and operating environment.

Eloura will become the 14th community to join Apollo Care, and like all the communities in our Alliance, we will protect its name, purpose and legacy, while investing the capital and systems needed to ensure it remains sustainable for generations to come. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19QsnAkYVr/

We have some amazing team members across our Apollo Care communities who become such an integral part of our family. This week, we say goodbye to one of our Harden Grange team members - Clinical Nurse, Marilyn, who is leaving Harden Grange after almost 2 years to embark on her retirement.

A highly experienced Nurse, Marilyn joined our Harden Grange community following many years at the Murrumburrah-Harden District Hospital, and they were so lucky to have her as a valued member of their team. From the compassionate care she provided to every resident, and the warm relationships she built with families, to the leadership and encouragement she gave to staff members, Marilyn will be sorely missed by everyone.

Thank you, Marilyn, for everything you have done for Harden Grange. We hope you have a wonderful retirement, enjoying many travels and adventures.

It’s National Volunteer’s Week and we’d love to recognise our wonderful group of volunteers across all Apollo Care communities who are an integral part of our aged care family. They bring their own special support and friendship to residents, forming genuine connections and bonds. Whether it's helping with group activities, running the cafe, or just being there as someone to talk to, volunteers strive to enhance residents’ wellbeing - and that's a wonderful thing to be able to do!

Easter is a time for connection, reflection, and joy. Our aged care communities support residents to maintain connections with each other, their families, staff and their community, and continue to enjoy the things they love - with the added comfort of on-site Chapel services and pastoral support.

This Easter, we look forward to inviting family and friends across our 12 communities to join in the celebrations, creating more precious memories together. 🫶
