💙 Social Inclusion Week 2025 | 22 – 30 November
Connect, collaborate and celebrate!
This week is all about helping every Australian feel included, valued and connected - whether that’s through community events, friendships, or the small daily moments that bring people together.

At McCall, inclusion is something we live every day. Across our Southwest Sydney and Northwest Sydney teams, we see the power of connection through programs, play, and participation that help people feel part of something bigger.

If you’re local to South West Sydney, Camden Council is hosting some great free community events, including:
đź’™ Community Connection Day
Saturday 29 Nov, 10 am–2 pm, Dawson Damer Splash Park, Oran Park

🏉 Come & Try Day with NSW Physical Disability Rugby League
Wednesday 26 Nov, Bradbury Oval

📚 Storytime sessions Celebrating inclusion
Camden, Narellan & Oran Park Libraries all week

Social inclusion is at the heart of what we do - because everyone deserves the chance to belong, participate and thrive.

At McCall, our Allied Health team supports people to stay active, connected and confident through tailored therapy and early intervention programs.

Morning routines that matter

For many of us, the day doesn’t really start until that first cup of coffee. Glenn from Piccadilly feels the same - and he’s been making his own each morning as part of his routine.

For Glenn it’s about more than coffee, it’s about confidence, independence and taking charge of the little moments that make each day his own.

If you or someone you support is looking for a welcoming home that builds independence and community, get in touch to learn about our current SIL vacancies.

We’re proud to partner with Thread Together, an organisation creating an ethical response to fashion excess by keeping new clothing in circulation and out of landfill.

Through this partnership, McCall helps ensure people accessing our services can choose brand-new, high-quality clothing with dignity and comfort - while also supporting a more sustainable future.

A big thank you to Thread Together for the incredible work they do empowering people and protecting the planet. đź’™

💬 “McCall are considerate towards the needs of my child, providing flexibility, discussing any concerns promptly and listening to suggestions.”

That’s just one of the many messages of appreciation we received in our recent Carer Survey - highlighting how much families value the care, professionalism and flexibility shown by the Community Programs team.

McCall’s Day Programs create spaces where people can connect, learn and build confidence every day.

We currently have limited 1:2 and 1:3 support vacancies for participants who want to grow in a supportive, friendly environment.

Today, we pause to honour and remember the courage, service and sacrifice of all who have served - and those who continue to serve - for our freedom and peace.

At McCall, we’re proud to stand together in gratitude and reflection.

Lest we forget. 🌺

Last Thurday, we celebrated a major milestone with the Topping Out of our Box Hill Community Hub, marking the building reaching its highest point.

Buildcorp hosted a lovely BBQ lunch onsite, joined by Tony and Josephine Sukkar (the owners of Buildcorp), The Hills Shire Council Deputy Mayor Councillor Frank De Masi, our Chair Dan Reeve, Board Directors, project partners Mostyn Copper, and other guests. It was also wonderful to welcome residents Mark, Mark, Andrew, Ian and Ron, who once called this site home.

This milestone reflects the hard work and collaboration of everyone involved in bringing our Community Hub vision to life.

The McCall Foundation was presented with a lemon tree to mark the occasion. The presentation of the tree is a symbol of continued growth and a successful future for the project.

The Community Hub at Box Hill is due open in the first quarter of 2026 and will be a welcoming and inclusive environment where people can access services, participate in engaging programs and connect. The site will house the McCall administration office, Allied Health Services, Community Programs, Employment Programs, a Swim School and a café on site.

đź’› Family BBQ at St Albans

There’s nothing better than good food, sunshine and great company! St Albans house residents and their families recently came together for a relaxed BBQ, spending time catching up with other families and enjoying the sunshine.

There’s something really special about days like this, when families all come together to connect and enjoy each other’s company.

✨ All In Gala 2025 ✨

Some of McCall’s residents had a fantastic night out at this year’s All In Gala last weekend, one of the most anticipated nights of the year celebrating inclusion, connection and community across the disability sector.

It’s always a special evening - a chance to dress up, enjoy a nice meal, catch up with friends, and dance the night away. Jimmy’s mask may have given a few people a fright! 👻

A huge thank you to the All In Gala for another incredible night celebrating the heart of our sector.

Welcome to McCall Gardens

Welcome to McCall Gardens. If you or someone you love has a disability, we can provide the support you need to help achieve a fuller life.

We know how much you value a strong relationship with support staff, and will do everything in our power to provide meaningful, personalised care and assistance that really makes a difference.

A key focus of our commitment to individual support is our person centred planning process which helps to identify people’s aspirations. It’s the first step towards making dreams a reality.

At McCall Gardens we don’t believe anyone is defined by their disability. In fact, we’re passionate about empowering people with disability. We’re here to help you get the most out of every day.
