At McCall, our approach to Allied Health is not about ticking boxes.
It is about taking the time to understand what matters to each person, what their goals are, and what support will actually work in real life.
In this video, Aivine - one of our Occupational Therapists based in Southwest Sydney shares what makes McCall different, including our focus on practical, personalised support that works around people’s lives, whether that is in the clinic, at home, in the community, or via telehealth.
There is more than one way to take part in the More Than Words® program at McCall.
More Than Words is an evidence-based parent education and coaching program designed to help parents and carers support the social communication development of young autistic children.
Whether you are looking for a face-to-face group, an online option, or a more tailored one-to-one format, there are now different ways to access the program depending on what works best for your family.
It’s a practical and cost-effective option for families wanting to learn strategies to support their child’s communication.
From 1 March 2026, Medicare have expanded access to speech pathology support for some children and young people under 25 with severe speech and language disorders.
If you think this may apply to your child or young person, speak with your GP about eligibility and referral options.
Ever wondered what happens at Community Programs on a rainy day?
We make our own fun indoors.
From pancake making to toilet paper mummy challenges, we get creative and ensure that the fun continues.
Rainy days might change the plan, but they do not stop the fun at McCall.

A great day out exploring Sydney 🌊
Residents from our St Albans home enjoyed iconic views and time together at Circular Quay and the Opera House last week. The sun was out and the sky was clear which made the experience even more special.

The Hills Shire Council is inviting community members to share their experiences of disability, accessibility and inclusion across The Hills.
You can also join a community workshop (in person or online) to share your experiences. There’s even a light lunch for those attending in person, we’re quietly hoping that includes little quarter sandwiches.🙂
People who complete the survey will also go into the draw to win one of two $100 EFTPOS gift cards.
Have your say and help shape a more inclusive community.
The Access and Inclusion Community Survey is closing soon!
By filling out the survey, you’ll go into the draw to win one of two $100 EFTPOS gift cards. The survey helps us better understand residents’ experiences of disability and access and inclusion across The Hills community.
This survey is designed for:
✨ People with disability
✨ People with mobility challenges
✨ Families

For families looking for guidance, especially while waiting for one-to-one supports or exploring early intervention options, More Than Words can offer a practical and empowering next step.
Families are able to access funding for this program under NDIS Line Item – Early Childhood Intervention Professional – Speech Pathologist [15_622_0118_1 _3].
Yesterday, team members from Annangrove Admin and Community Programs came together in orange to mark Harmony Day, which was recognised nationally on Saturday, and celebrate the importance of inclusiveness, respect, diversity and belonging.
It was a lovely chance to connect and celebrate the diverse backgrounds, cultures and experiences that make our McCall community stronger.
The celebration was topped off with a nice cuppa and brownies shared together.

Falls can happen more easily than people expect, especially at home.
They’re one of the leading causes of injury, but many can be prevented with simple changes to your environment and daily routine.
Things like improving lighting, removing trip hazards, and building strength and balance can make a real difference to safety and confidence.
We’ve put together a guide with practical tips to help people stay safer and more independent at home.
McCall’s Southwest OT-led school holiday programs are open for enquiries.
Running this April Easter holidays at Shine Shed South West in Campbelltown, these groups support children through structured and engaging activities that build confidence, connection and everyday skills in a safe and inclusive setting. This holiday program offering includes Social Skills Group, Lego Group, Play & Learn Group and the Intensive Feeding Program.
Looking into housing options for an adult with complex needs can bring a lot of questions.
McCall’s parent and carer checklist is designed to help make the process clearer, with practical guidance around Specialist Disability Accommodation and Supported Independent Living, and what to think about when planning that important next step of your adult childs life.
Harmony Day is all about celebrating inclusiveness, respect and belonging, and recognising the value of people from all backgrounds coming together as a community. These values are at the very core of McCall.
Stay tuned next week as we share photos of the McCall team celebrating across our locations.
