The weekend is here โ€” and before you rush into errands, housework, or family plans, take a moment to pause.

Really BREATHE.

Saturday mornings remind us we donโ€™t have to keep moving to feel accomplished.
Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is slow down.

Stillness doesnโ€™t have to look perfect.
โœจ Stand barefoot outside with your morning coffee.
โœจ Take three slow breaths before opening your phone.
โœจ Listen to your body before saying yes to something that feels heavy.

Even these tiny pauses help your nervous system regulate.
They tell your body, โ€œIโ€™m safe to slow down.โ€
And from that space, your thoughts soften, your energy resets, and your emotions begin to find balance again. ๐Ÿ’ซ

I know what itโ€™s like to juggle work, family, and everything in between โ€” and how easily stress can take hold when we forget to stop. Thatโ€™s why stillness and sound have become part of my daily rhythm.

Through sound, Iโ€™ve learned to slow my thoughts, recalibrate my energy, and return to myself โ€” which is why I created the Stillness Collective Workshop Series.

Be kind to your mind ๐Ÿฉต

Itโ€™s something I remind myself of often โ€” especially when life feels full, and my thoughts start to race ahead.

For me, it means slowing down long enough to notice whatโ€™s going on insideโ€ฆto breathe before reacting,
to speak gently to myself, and to remember that Iโ€™m doing my best โ€” even on the messy days.

REMEMBER to ask yourself often, โ€œAm I being kind to my mind?โ€ โ€” and watch the quiet magic โœจ unfold in how you think, feel, and move through your day.

Good Morning!

Its world Menopause month and as many of you know, the past few years have taken me through breast cancer treatment and into a medical then surgical menopause. Because of the type of cancer I had, HRT wasnโ€™t an option โ€” so I needed to learn how to support myself in other ways.

It took time.
It took gentleness.
It took patience.
And it took really listening to my body.

Through my own research, training, practise, knowledge gained and a lot of compassion, I slowly developed my own toolkit โ€” one that supports the mind, body, nervous system and all the emotional flows.

THE IMPORTANCE OF REST โ€” A SUNDAY REMINDER

Hi Everyoneโ€ฆ

Rest is not a luxury.
Itโ€™s not something you โ€œearn.โ€
And itโ€™s not something you take only once everything else is done.

Rest is a biological requirement โ€” especially in our 40โ€™s and beyond.

Your mind, your hormones, your emotional world, and your energy systems all depend on periods of slowing down, softening, and returning to balance.

But I know that for so many of us โ€” even on weekends โ€” the mind keeps going.

Because your body doesnโ€™t know itโ€™s the weekend! Your nervous system only knows the pace it has been living in.

So if youโ€™re sitting here this evening feeling tired, wired, overwhelmed, or unable to switch off โ€” please know: you are not doing anything wrong.

This is your body asking for space.
For regulation.
For breath.
For grounding.

And I see this in so many women in our area โ€”
professional, capable, caring women who do so much and hold even more โ€” yet rarely feel able to pause without guilt or pressure.

I know this feeling, because I live it too!

Rest can trigger things weโ€™ve been taught to push away:

We learned to perform.
We did not learn to restore.

But midlife calls us back home โ€” back to the body, back to intuition, back to grounded truth.

Rest is not stopping.
Rest is how we return to balance.

Supported Reclined Butterfly
(soft, safe, no flexibility required):

1. Sit on your couch/bed/floor.
2. Bring soles of feet together and let your knees fall open to either side
3. Place pillows or blankets under each knee.
4. Lean back so your spine is supported.
5. One hand on your heart, one on your belly.
6. Inhale through your nose for 4 seconds.
7. Exhale through your mouth for 6โ€“8 seconds.
8. On each exhale say to yourself โ€œI donโ€™t have to hold everything right now.โ€

๐ŸŒฟ A little about meโ€ฆ ๐ŸŒฟ

For those who donโ€™t know me well, Iโ€™m a single mum whoโ€™s lived a big, full, and sometimes messy life โ€” one thatโ€™s taught me more about strength, surrender, and self-discovery than I ever couldโ€™ve imagined.

Iโ€™ve spent most of my career in corporate leadership โ€” a world thatโ€™s taught me so much about people, resilience, change and possibility. It also led me to briefly step back and ask deeper questions about what truly matters, leading me on a path toward finding more meaning, balance, and authenticity in life.

I grew up surrounded by the ideals of holistic health โ€” natural ways of healing, trusting the bodyโ€™s wisdom, and listening to what we truly need. Iโ€™ve always been a lifelong learner, curious about how we can feel and live better. Over the years, Iโ€™ve explored and used natural remedies and holistic techniques to support my wellbeing, including managing a chronic lung disease I developed when my kids were young, nearly 20 years ago.

When I moved to Queensland over 12 years ago for work, something shifted again. It was there that I truly began to embrace and deepen my connection to holistic living โ€” trained in Hatha yoga teaching and meditation, and exploring new ways to live with presence and intention. From there, I was drawn to energy healing, including Reiki, and over the years gained my Masters in Holistic Counselling and not too long ago training in Psych-K, allowing me to guide myself and others into a deeper knowing of who we are beneath the noise of everyday life.

Through all my learnings, sound has always been paramount โ€” the vibration, rhythm, and resonance that connect us beyond words. As a trained sound bowl practitioner, I weave the power of sound in a subtle yet powerful way into everything I do. Itโ€™s amazing how sound frequencies can help shift and release energy in a way which you

Iโ€™ve carried these practices with me everywhere I goโ€” always seeking ways to learn, grow, and connect. ๐ŸŒž

Life gave me the nudge I needed โ€” through that long health journey, and later through breast cancer only a few years ago. Surgeries, treatment as well as a medical and surgical menopause pushed me into a condensed menopause which threw my whole being. Both experiences cracked me open and reminded me what truly matters: health, peace, purpose, love and connection.

Iโ€™ve been married, divorced, engaged, and through all of it, I realised that what I was really searching for wasnโ€™t in anyone else โ€” it was in me.

Now, as I approach my 50th, I can honestly say that walking the path of my 40โ€™s has been something truly unique โ€” a decade of awakening, unlearning, rebuilding, and rediscovering who I really am beneath all the layers.

These days, Iโ€™m in a season of coming home to myself โ€” creating space for healing, expansion, and helping others especially women do the same either in their early 40โ€™s or beyond their early 50โ€™s, in a way which is real and meaningful. This next chapter is about slowing down just a little, living intentionally, and sharing from a place of truth.

And a little more about meโ€ฆ I love soaking up the sunshine, and starting the day with gentle movement, a mini meditation, and mindfulness in making my coffee โ€” barefoot, of course โ€” so I can ground myself and begin each day with intention.

Itโ€™s much the same way I end my day โ€” soaking in the stillness and quiet, calming my busy mind, and closing with a moment of gratitude for it all.

Iโ€™m savoury over sweet, love fresh food, cooking, morning coffee, talking with people, crystals, watching an open fire, walking with my pups, cuddles with my ginger cat, hanging with my family, socialising with friends and being outside in nature - beach, river, the bush. Itโ€™s the simple things that bring me back to who I am. ๐ŸŒธ
