Interim General Manager Megan Motto OAM, FAICD, FGIA, FCG commences
As announced at the 2025 AGM in my Chairman’s report, the Board of the APF decided to transition from a volunteer-led operating model to a structured model supported by professional staff.
Following a rigorous recruitment supported by industry expert HR and Executive recruitments I am pleased to announce Megan Motto OAM commenced as the Interim General Manager on Monday 12 January 2026.
See below a short introduction from Megan, and already in her first 4 weeks Megan has hit the ground running.

Introducing Megan Motto OAM, FAICD, FGIA, FCG
Megan Motto is an experienced Executive and Non-Executive Director over 25 years of experience with professional and industry associations and public policy peak bodies..
Megan was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of Governance Institute of Australia, a national professional association and leading authority on governance and risk management, advocating on behalf of professionals from the listed, unlisted, public and not-for profit sectors.
Prior to that role Megan was CEO of Consult Australia, as well as holding significant positions in Australia's built environment sector and business chambers. She has been a member of the ASIC Corporate Governance Consultative Panel and a councillor of the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) where she chaired the Data, Digital and Cyber Security Forum. She is currently a member of the Australian government’s Expert Council on University Governance.
Megan’s expertise spans governance, risk management, public policy and education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Education, a Masters of Communication Management and a Graduate Diploma of Corporate Governance and Risk Management. An experienced director, Megan has served on the boards of Business NSW, the Committee for Economic Development of Australia (CEDA) and Standards Australia.
Megan is currently Strategic Counsel for Codex Communications, where she supports clients in a broad range of sectors including financial services, education and technology to connect with government and regulators to position themselves for business growth.
She is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, the Governance Institute of Australia and the Chartered Governance Institute and is also a member of Chief Executive Women and Women on Boards. Megan is also an Honorary Life Trustee of CEDA and was a 2014 recipient of the AFR/Wespac 100 Women of Influence. In 2025 she was awarded a Medal of the Order of Australia for services to business and governance.
