1️⃣ Start Position: Lie on your back, hands behind your head, and legs lifted with knees bent at 90°.
2️⃣ Engage Your Core: Lift your shoulders off the ground without pulling on your neck.

🔥 Technique Tuesday: Mastering the Hip Thrust! 🍑

If you’re looking to grow and strengthen your glutes, hip thrusts are a must! But like any exercise, form is everything to get the best results and avoid injury. Here’s how to nail the perfect hip thrust:

1️⃣ Set-Up: Sit on the ground with your upper back resting against a bench. Roll a loaded barbell over your legs, placing it just above your hips (use a pad for comfort!). Your knees should be bent, with feet flat on the ground and spaced hip-width apart.

2️⃣ Positioning: Lean back onto the bench so it sits right under your shoulder blades. This helps give you leverage and allows for a full range of motion. Keep your chin tucked to your chest to prevent arching in your lower back.

3️⃣ Engage Your Core: Before lifting, tighten your core and squeeze your glutes. This stabilizes your torso and keeps the focus on the glutes rather than your lower back.

4️⃣ Drive Through the Heels: Push through your heels as you lift the bar, raising your hips toward the ceiling. Make sure your shins are vertical at the top position to keep the focus on your glutes. Avoid using your lower back or quads to “assist” the movement.

5️⃣ Top Position: At the top, your body should form a straight line from your shoulders to your knees. Squeeze your glutes hard for a full second, ensuring they’re fully engaged.

6️⃣ Lower with Control: Slowly lower your hips back down without letting the barbell slam back to the ground. Keep tension on your glutes throughout!

Tip: Start with a lighter weight to perfect your form, then gradually increase the load. With consistent practice, hip thrusts will help you achieve incredible glute gains! 🍑💪
