๐๐๏ธ This week on the Wellness by Designs Podcast:
Perimenopause is often reduced to fluctuating oestrogen and progesterone. But for many women, the deeper clinical story sits upstream.
Through a neuroadrenal lens, this transition is not only about ovarian change. It is also about nervous system load, blood sugar instability, inflammatory burden, sleep disruption, thyroid function, and the cumulative cost of years spent pushing through.
Just as importantly, it is a stage of profound identity recalibration.
For practitioners, one of the most valuable shifts may be learning to distinguish between what is normal in this rite of passage, what is excessive, and what is asking to be supported rather than suppressed.
When we widen the lens, we can offer care that is more nuanced, more humane, and ultimately more effective.
