We just wrapped up Christmas Spirit in Miller, NSW earlier today. 🎄
So many wonderful organisations came together at Miller Square to bring the Christmas festivities for Miller community and what a beautiful turnout it was! From entertainment and children’s activities to the free sausage sizzle, prizes and community stalls, the whole precinct buzzed with joy, connection and festive cheer.

A huge thank you to CORE Community Services for hosting this event and for being such an incredible partner in making this event special. We also express our gratitude to Liverpool City Council Australia's Community Grant Program for helping us deliver free lunch for the whole community.

To all the organisations who showed up and spread joy - this is what community partnerships looks like.

Following the tragic loss of so many lives at Bondi Beach yesterday, Scalabrini Communities holds up in our prayers and thoughts all those who have lost loved ones and for those who are injured.

The festival of Hannukah commemorates the return of Jewish freedom and religious ritual and the re-dedication of the Temple after its desecration and the miracle of the single jar of oil that allowed the candles to burn for eight days during that dedication. At its heart, it celebrates resilience in the face of adversity, faithfulness to God and the miracle of light that casts away the darkness.

Let us all be the light in our world that keeps the darkness of evil and hate at bay and may we find comfort in our shared scripture with our Jewish brothers and sisters in Joshua 1:9

“Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.”

Yesterday’s Live Easy Social Christmas Party was all about big smiles, full hearts and plenty of dancing. Our amazing older adults absolutely stole the show. 💚

A huge thank you to our special guests Dai Le MP, Member of Fowler and Councillor Kevin Lam - City of Fairfield for joining the celebrations and showing their support for our community. 🙌

We’re also so grateful to:
🎶Julie Accordion Wisniewski, Liverpool Women's Health Centre, and our Hub ladies for the fantastic entertainment and performances.
