Stepping Stone Services is a Counselling Services specialising in Grief and Loss and Family Therapies. We are available for after hours sessions.

We are now conducting Youth Mental Health First Aid Courses. One step at a time ¬- Our lives are so busy and change is never fast or easy – sometimes we give up trying to better ourselves because we see little change from immense effort and great sacrifice. Stepping Stone Services will help you reach your goals by taking the first step with you and by supporting you until you achieve them – we’re only happy with the happier you. Getting to know yourself – You’ll feel safe here, we won’t judge. Sometimes you’ll find yourself at a place in life, not understand how you got there and have no idea how to get back. We all get lost and forget who we are and what we are about at some stage in life – realising it can be very confronting, but since you’ve taken the first step, let’s take a snapshot of what you’re about in our first counselling session, then together we’ll reintroduce you to who you were - nothing is more empowering. No limits – Everyone is different and it’s important that you explore your goals and hurdles at your own pace, it’s important because this is how you learn to deal with your issues as they are identified. This will provide the necessary skills to overcome not just your current crisis, but lay down some tough ground rules for any challenge that tries to beat you in the future. This confidence will lead to you making changes for you, when you’re ready to deal with them. When you need us ¬– Trouble doesn’t always strike during business hours so our staff are pleased to provide before and after work appointments, or appointments on the weekend. We show that we are serious and committed to your needs by charging a flat rate, regardless of the time or the day of your appointment. We’ve got what you need – our staff are trained in the methods that will help you the best. From traditional therapies such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), through to more recent practices like Solution Focused Therapies, we have all of the tools. We are also trained in Su***de Interventions and are completely focused on helping you through whatever life throws at you. About the team – Stepping Stone staff are trained, accredited Counsellors and are registered with the Australian Counselling Association. Stepping Stone Services has a strict Code of Conduct with all staff demonstrating commitment to uphold the company values. Being a small company all employees are direct reports of the Director of the company – this also contributes positively to Stepping Stone Services commitment to staff competency management and industry Best Practice. •To understand the boundaries of our staff and what services we provide

•To maintain complete privacy and discretion under most circumstances

•To know how much the service will cost before it is provided

•To have clarity about the outcome you and the counsellor are working towards

Schedule of Fees

Initial consultation (90 minutes)……………………………………….........................$110.00
Follow-up consultation (60 minutes)………………………………………………………. $90.00

There is no surcharge for after hours or weekend consultations, and there is also no additional charge for people wishing to bring a support person.

Australians have broken two national blood donation records in the wake of the Bondi Beach terrorist attack, after an unprecedented surge in people answering an urgent call to donate.

"Close to 50,000 appointments were booked — more than double the previous record," Lifeblood told SBS News, with a total of 7,810 blood, plasma, and platelets donations made in 24 hours, smashing the second record.

NSW Premier Chris Minns has urged the state to keep up the momentum of blood donations.

Today we were working with a utilities company and conducted 3 psyhco-educational sessions a 3 different site around Sydney. During our speech, we hopefully instilled the R U OK message and gave them the confidence to ask the hard questions. Remember asking and caring for someone should be done every day. R U OK?

The wording we use to talk about su***de can change the outcome of the conversation!

Language Matters – Because People Matter

When someone is struggling with the loss of a loved one to su***de, the last thing they need is language that brings a feeling of shame.

That’s why we don’t say “committed su***de”.

That phrase comes from a time when su***de was treated as a crime.

We say “died by su***de”, because this is about someone’s pain, not punishment.
It might feel like a small change, but it can mean everything to someone who’s suffering in silence.

Today is Mental Health First Aid International day. To celebrate let’s all learn how to have difficult conversations, asking loved ones or a stranger ‘how are you’ or ‘what’s going on’. Starting a conversation knowing it can lead to difficult conversations is a simple yet basic skill. If you don’t know or don’t have the confidence, it is highly recommended to do a first aid course. ❤️
