It’s not everyday you get to meet one of your nutrition hero’s!
It was such a joy to chat to Dr Joanna McMillan, to explore how nutrition can fuel our bodies to optimise focus and energy.
With so much confusing nutrition advice, it can be hard to seperate the facts from fads and TikTok trends (hello lettuce water!) from trusted advice.
I’ve followed Jo since my days studying clinical nutrition and love her no guilt, no extremes approach to nutrition.
Some core concepts that really stood out:
🥑 Aim to become more plant-based by adding up to 30 different plant foods per week.
🤩 Make friends with a diverse range of fibre to support gut, heart, brain, metabolic and immune health.
🩵 Prioritise the foundations of sleep, regular movement and strength training.
☕ And for coffee lovers, it can support energy and focus (with a few caveats!)
And always serve meals with a side of joy. ❤️
Such great reminders that small daily shifts can make a big difference to how we feel in the future.
