Come and see what we do and how much we love our job!! At Wise OT Solutions we have a wealth of experience managing catastrophic injuries in the Workers Care, LTCS and CTP schemes. We complete functional retraining and get people back to their daily life after complex cognitive and physical injuries such as traumatic brain injury, spinal injury, amputations and burns. Our team of OT’s can provide cognitive retraining, upper limb therapy, assessment for equipment and home modifications.

Meet Fi!

Fi is one of our most experienced OTs, supporting clients with complex injuries to regain independence and confidence in their everyday lives.

With 19 years’ experience, Fi has worked across clinical and research roles, specialising in brain injury, stroke, and complex orthopaedic rehabilitation. 📚 🧠 ♿

She brings a strong focus on best practice — including research into return to work following brain injury.

Known for her thoughtful and thorough approach, Fi takes the time to really understand her clients and support them through often complex rehab journeys.

We’re incredibly proud to have Fi’s experience, dedication, and care on the Wise OT Solutions team 💜💛

Driver-Trained OT (Specialist Role)!

This is a bit different.

We’re looking for an OT who wants to build a niche.

At Wise OT Solutions we have an opportunity for an OT to step into (or train in) driver assessment and rehabilitation — working with people with serious injuries to safely return to driving and independence.

It’s a highly specialised space.
And incredibly rewarding work.

You’ll still be part of our broader OT team but with the chance to develop a skillset that sets you apart.

What you won’t be doing:
❌ NDIS
❌ Return-to-work case management
❌ Repetitive, low-impact therapy

What you will be doing:
✔ Meaningful, complex assessments
✔ Building real expertise
✔ Making a tangible difference in people’s lives

We’ll support you with training, mentoring, and the space to grow into this role properly.

We’re looking for a Permanent Occupational Therapist to join Wise OT Solutions, ideally based in Newcastle NSW (Central Coast also considered).

You’ll support adult clients in the community, delivering meaningful, high-quality outcomes across a hybrid clinical and insurance caseload.

We’re excited to share that Katie Warry has joined Wise OT Solutions as an Occupational Therapist.

Katie brings experience across community, aged care, and NDIS, with strong skills in assistive technology and complex home modifications.🛠️🏡

She’s experienced in working within multidisciplinary teams, and is keen to continue growing her expertise in the severe injury space.

Based in Randwick, Katie will be starting with us 4 days per week. We know she’ll be a fantastic addition to the team and the work we do.

Matching the right equipment to the right person is essential 🧩

Our OT Joanne Barrett recently visited ILS for a hands-on look at their new Royale Robooter folding power wheelchair range—and there were some exciting options. 🙌

What caught our attention?

Jo trialled everything from compact indoor chairs with tight turning circles to more rugged, all-terrain options—and what stood out was how lightweight and practical they felt to use day-to-day.

Jo immediately thought of a client who wants to get back out into the community independently after a life-changing injury. With goals like returning to shopping 🛍️ and watching her son’s band perform live 🎶, having equipment that can manage both indoor spaces and rural terrain will be key to helping her live her best life again.

Jo also got a sneak peek at ILS’s new Air Carbon Fibre Powerchair—a transit power wheelchair that folds like a manual chair, super lightweight and designed with real life in mind.
