✨ Meet Tonia, the CEO of Helphome.

Tonia Fridlis, brings over 15 years of experience in NDIS operations, aged care and healthcare service delivery. With a Master’s Degree in Health Services Management and MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, Tonia is not only a Registered Nurse but also a passionate advocate for improving the quality of life for people living with disabilities.

Her extensive background includes roles as General Manager, Head of NDIS Services, Regional Manager and Director of Nursing, equipping her with a solid understanding of both corporate and clinical governance. Also, she currently serves as a Non-Executive Director on the number of Boards in NDIS and aged care industry.

Tonia's commitment to empowering individuals with disabilities drives our mission at HelpHome to deliver exceptional support services tailored to meet diverse needs of our participants. 💙

Is your NDIS therapy funding still sitting there unused? This could affect your funding in your next plan. ⚠️

Unused therapy funding is the part of your Capacity Building budget and this usually sits under Improved Daily Living.

It may include therapies like:

🧩 Occupational Therapy
🗣 Speech Pathology
🧠 Psychology
🏃 Physiotherapy

If your plan has funding periods, unused funds can roll forward within the same plan.

But there is an important rule.

❗ Unused therapy funding does not roll over into your next NDIS plan.

When your NDIS plan ends, the remaining funds are not carried forward.

This happens more often than people realise.

Sometimes it happens because:

📋 You were placed on waitlists
📍 There were no therapists available
⏳ Reports or assessments caused delays
🏥 Circumstances changed during the plan

However, during plan reassessments the NDIS Planner will consider your current usage along with other evidence.

If therapy sessions did not happen, there may be:

📄 Fewer reports demonstrating progress
📊 Less evidence to support ongoing therapy

This can influence how your next plan is funded.
