Welcoming friendly community. Harmony Centre Sydney South is the creation of Anandamaya (Sheila Fawns) and her amazing team. The space is gentle and yet profound and simply coming into this sacred space can help you relax. Regular meditations, satsangs and yoga sessions are held every week.
“After some difficult times in my own life, I found I was drawn to spirituality and understanding my life from the soul’s perspective. This seemed to offer me a better understanding of what life, particularly my life, was about. I then went on to study and teach in a number of different fields. I opened the Centre in Jannali because I I felt it was time for me to offer something in the South and nearer to my home, a place that I love and have lived in for more than 35 years. I had studied a lot of different modalities and wanted to offer these services to the local community. Originally from Scotland, my husband and I moved to the Sutherland Shire over thirty-five years ago, we raised our three children here our lives were based her. I am particularly passionate about everyone having the opportunity to develop great relationships, an area that I found was often misunderstood and unclear for a lot of people. My other passion is women’s health and well-being, and helping all women to become the very best version of themselves.”
The centre opened in August 2012 and has been a haven for many people. I love that it has a friendly, community feel and find that often people don’t want to leave!! After meditation, when everyone is feeling relaxed and better than they did when they came in the door, that it is sometimes difficult to go back out into the outside world. It’s a bit like being in a good friend’s living room. Holistic well-being is becoming more and more important in the landscape of people’s lives and Harmony Centre Sydney South is a place for replenishment, rejuvenation, re-connection with self and bringing you back to joy and self-love. As a community, we are welcoming, helpful, supportive and friendly. We run regular self-empowerment seminars to help you in your relationships, your well-being. We can help you to learn more about your human energy field, your body, your mind, your emotions, your spirit and your current consciousness. Harmony Centre Sydney South is located in the heart of the beautiful Sutherland Shire. We are a unique meditation and wellness centre, focusing on helping people to become their best selves. Finding the essence of yourself through, meditations, satsangs, yoga, breath work and empowerment workshops, seminars and retreats. There are a variety of styles to suit all people. Part of our philosophy is that many of our programs are offered by heartfelt contribution and others are run with a fixed price.
