🌺 Remembrance Day at Leigh Place 🌺
Today, our Leigh Place community came together in solemn reflection to honour the courage, sacrifice, and service of all those who have served in times of war and peace.

This year’s ceremony was especially meaningful thanks to the active involvement of our residents, many of whom carry personal memories and lived experiences of wartime. Their presence and participation remind us that remembrance is not just about history—it’s about honouring real lives, real stories, and the resilience of those who endured.

We were proud to see our residents take leading roles in the commemoration:
🎤 Dr Douglas guided the ceremony with warmth and dignity as our MC
🌹 Jennifer laid the wreath on behalf of all residents, a gesture of deep respect and remembrance and read the Ode with heartfelt emotion, echoing the spirit of those we honour.
🇦🇺 Peter raised the flag to conclude the ceremony, symbolising hope and unity.
The event was a moving tribute, filled with reflection, connection, and gratitude.

We thank everyone who joined us in remembering—and especially our residents, whose stories continue to inspire us.

What a day to remember! A huge thank you to everyone who helped make our Community Fete such a vibrant and successful celebration.

Your time, support, and contributions brought this event to life and made it a true reflection of the spirit of Leigh Place.

🫖💛 R U OK? Day at Leigh Place 💛🫖

There’s nothing like a good cuppa and a heartfelt chat to remind us how powerful a simple question can be. Today at Leigh Place, we came together for a special afternoon tea to mark R U OK? Day — sharing smiles, stories, and support.

Residents and staff enjoyed delicious treats and meaningful moments, all while celebrating the importance of checking in with one another. Because sometimes, asking “Are you OK?” is the first step to making someone feel truly seen.

🍻 Father’s Day Warm-Up at Leigh Place 🍻

We got an early start on Father’s Day yesterday with an outdoor Happy Hour in the gazebo, bringing together residents and staff to recognise the fathers and father figures in our community.

We enjoyed a few well-earned drinks, music and a thoughtful surprise — each of our dads received a special gift from Leigh Place as a small token of appreciation.

To all the fathers, grandfathers, and role models — we hope this Sunday brings you the recognition you deserve. From all of us at Leigh Place, Happy Father’s Day!

It’s Aged Care Employee Day—and we celebrated in pyjamas! 💤☕🎉

This morning at Leigh Place, our amazing team swapped uniforms for cozy PJs and enjoyed a delicious breakfast, barista coffee, and some well-deserved awards!

Our staff are the heartbeat of our home, and today was all about celebrating their kindness, dedication, and the joy they bring to our residents every day. Thank you for everything you do! 💙
