Celebrating Harmony Week at Mighty Me 💛🌏

This week, our children explored different cultures through meaningful and hands-on experiences — from making delicious kafta bread to sweet banana fritters.

A special highlight was Miss Ola sharing music from her culture, as the children danced joyfully with bubbles filling the air ✨

Our cubby house just got a little upgrade! ☕🍦
Welcome to the Mighty Me Café, where our little chefs are busy serving ice cream, taking orders, and shopping for their favourite treats.

The children were absolutely obsessed and thrilled pretending to run their own café. So much creativity, imagination, and teamwork happening through play.

🇦🇺 Australia Day Week at Mighty Me 🇦🇺
This week our children enjoyed a beautiful mix of learning and hands-on experiences as we celebrated Australia and our community.

We explored Australian culture and landmarks through art and craft activities, including learning about the Sydney Harbour Bridge, and we also enjoyed some Aussie favourites like making lamingtons, creating colourful fairy bread, and sharing a fun sausage sizzle 🌭✨

The children also participated in music experiences such as the Australian National Anthem and an Aboriginal song, supporting connection, identity and belonging throughout the week ❤️💙

Our end-of-year water play and BBQ was filled with laughter, happy children, and wonderful moments shared with families. The children absolutely loved the slide and water tub, and it was so special to have parents join us to celebrate a year of learning, growth, and memories together 💙

Last week, we celebrated a very special milestone at Mighty Me ELC! our Preschool Graduation! 💛

It was a beautiful evening filled with proud smiles, happy tears, and heartwarming memories. Our amazing children received their certificates and special graduation gifts, and they shined brightly like the stars they are ⭐

A big thank you to all the parents and families who joined us and made the night extra special with your love and support 🤗 Your presence truly means the world to us.

After the children’s performances and celebrations, everyone gathered to enjoy a lovely dinner and delicious snacks together, a beautiful way to end the night with community, conversation, and joy 🥰🍽️

We are so proud of our graduates, ready for their next adventure in BIG SCHOOL! 🏫

Two weeks ago at Amah Chowke, Mighty Me, we celebrated Diwali the Festival of Lights 🌟🪔

To honour this beautiful cultural celebration, we prepared paratha with butter chicken for the children to explore and taste.
The children had the opportunity to smell, observe, and try the food, sparking meaningful conversations about flavours, culture, and traditions. Many children showed excitement and curiosity, building confidence in trying new foods and learning about different celebrations.

Experiences like this support children’s sense of belonging, connection, and appreciation for the diverse community around us 💛

Our little chefs had an amazing time making their own tacos today! 🧑‍🍳✨

The children were so excited and had been talking about Taco Day since yesterday — they just couldn’t wait for this delicious experience! 💛 When the day finally arrived, everyone was eager to choose their own ingredients like lettuce, tomato, corn, cheese, and chicken to create their perfect taco. 🥬🍅🌽🧀🐔

They loved assembling, tasting, and sharing their creations with friends. This hands-on experience encouraged independence, healthy eating, and confidence in trying new foods. It was such a joy seeing their happy faces and hearing them say, “I made this myself!” 🌈

The children had so much fun watering our veggie garden, harvesting some of the delicious greens we’ve been growing — kale, lettuce, and bok choy — and planting new plants to care for! 🥬✨

Through simple activities like watering, planting, and harvesting, children are learning about:
🌏 Sustainability – understanding where food comes from and how we can care for the earth.
🤲 Responsibility – looking after the plants every day.
💚 Healthy Living – seeing how fresh vegetables can become part of their meals.
