Managing chronic pain for patients and providers has been a challenge for decades. The COVID-19 pandemic reshaped health systems and neglected many patients with other diagnoses. Yet, there are ways to reshape the system for better pain management.

“My advice to women is to follow what you are passionate about and you will never fail” Michelle Quezada, Research Scientist at Medlab.

This International Women's Day we celebrate all the incredible women in research. In our industry, women are underrepresented. Less than 30% of the world’s researchers are women and we want to see this change.

It is important that we encourage young women to pursue careers in STEM and follow what they are passionate about. Women are analytical, practical and have a lot to offer in research positions.

Together we can because our work is important and deserves to be celebrated.

Stress and CBD: A published review exploring the impact of the Endocannabinoid system on the bodies stress response and the possibility of using CBD as a drug to constrain this response.

The stress response is a physiological function that is activated by various life events. The problem being, that at times, this response can be excessive. Meaning that rather than help us cope with said stressor it impairs normal function and increases the risk of mental health disorders.

In this article we discuss the Endocannabinoid system as one of the main regulators of the stress response and the dire need for a safe, rapid and effective treatment to prevent adverse effects of excessive stress.

Summary of a published review by the Medlab research team - Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of numerous cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. The potential for the
