⭐ International Women's Day 2026 ⭐

This year, we asked some of our female staff how their roles were influenced by being women. Empathy, nurturing and compassionate care were the messages we heard loud and clear, as our staff shared how for many, being aged care workers was more than a job; it's a calling.

Her Voice, Our Celebration: International Women’s Day.
At Clover Lea, we celebrated International Women’s Day with something very special — for the first time, we welcomed an opera singer, Yasmin Arkinstall. Her beautiful voice filled the home, and residents, families, and staff paused to listen, some closing their eyes, some smiling quietly. Our home is full of strong women — residents and staff alike. Today we talked about women’s strength, equal rights, and the beauty of supporting each other.

Today the residents and staff of Glenwood had a mighty colourful time celebrating the Holi Festival. We all enjoyed gorgeous Indian and Nepalese sweets and then afterwards got colourful and danced to some Holi songs.

Last ANZAC Day, we had the privilege of sharing the remarkable story of Major (Ret.) John Bridle at Montana Aged Care Home.

From surviving air raids in wartime England to serving in both the British Army and Australian Army, being awarded the Order of Australia and dedicating decades to the RSL community, John’s life is a testament to resilience, humility and unwavering service.

Clover Lea Celebrates! 🐎🔥🇨🇳
Chinese New Year celebrations saw Clover Lea bursting with colour! With lanterns hanging inside and outside the home, laughter, and festive energy - we welcomed the New Year in the most spectacular way. The amazing Clown Company brought giant bubbles, creative balloon flowers, hilarious antics, and fun magic tricks that had residents clapping, laughing, and fully engaged. The next day we
were delighted with a stunning Chinese Dance Group performance that captivated everyone with graceful cultural dances and vibrant traditional costumes. A truly heartwarming highlight was seeing Mary, daughter of our beloved resident Ai Feng Lin, performing proudly for her mum.
