Experienced Dental Nurse
Dental Assistant
Exciting opportunity for a new start. Dental Assistant position available to begin June 2020.
We are looking for an experienced and motivated dental assistant to help provide support to our clinical team in our daily operations. You will ensure the clinic achieves best practice standards in service delivery.
Job type: Casual Part Time
Required to work Monday – Wednesday with flexibility to cover sick or annual leave if needed.
Job requirements:
- Assisting dentist with a variety of dental procedures
- Preparing for and cleaning up after procedures, including the preparation of materials used in treatments
- Assisting the dentist during these procedures e.g. passing instruments, operating suction apparatus
- Efficient administration of the practice including stock control
- Developing X-rays, and operating digital imaging equipment
- Reception duties
Successful candidates will ideally have:
- Experience/ Knowledge with Oasis dental software is ideal
- Willingness to learn and work efficiently
- Open to developing reception skills and basics
- High attention to detail
- Being able to prioritise according to urgency
- Strong verbal skills
- Ability to follow direction

Experience preferred but not essential.

If you have a regular dentist, and it is a good idea to have one since it means your teeth will get the consistent care they need, you should be seeing them more often than you probably are, with one survey revealing that 65% of Australians have not seen a dentist in the last two years. Yup, that’s right – two whole years. You should really be seeing your dentist every 6 to 12 months or as needed to keep on top of your dental health.

If you choose a product bearing the Seal you can be confident that you’re choosing a product endorsed by dental professionals.
How it works,
Products bearing the Seal are tested by a team of expert dentists to ensure they work exactly as the manufacturer says they do.
These dentists also check that the product meets the relevant Australian standard, which are quality and safety criteria set by the government.
Products are only awarded the Seal if they tick all these boxes.
