Our Terex Demag CC2800 1600-ton crawler crane played a major role in the Penrith Stadium redevelopment. It helped John Holland install the new eastern grandstand roof, which is composed of 172 structural elements preassembled into 24-meter-long sections on the ground.
Some of these sections weigh up to 70 tons. This method improves safety, precision, and efficiency during installation.

The new welded-beam roof now covers more than half of the seats in the eastern grandstand, giving fans a much better matchday experience. Construction of the eastern grandstand seating has been completed, and work on the western grandstand roof has begun.

The redevelopment of Penrith Stadium is proudly funded by the New South Wales government.

The very first job for our second of our new 480-tonne SANY Group crawler cranes, just a few weeks after arriving on Australian shores, was the installation of the first section of the pedestrian bridge at the future Loganlea Station (Queensland).

We’ll soon be taking you behind the scenes of this technically challenging project...

When Pimpama Station on the Gold Coast Line (Queensland) was officially opened in October 2025, it brought back a whole host of memories. Borger Cranes had been involved in the project right from the start.

In April 2024, the LG750 was installed in the car park of the future Pimpama Station (Queensland).

The biggest and most impressive part of this project was the installation of a pedestrian overpass connecting the two sides of the track. We carried out this project in partnership with ADCO to give a new dimension to the Gold Coast Line, linking Brisbane to the Gold Coast.
Pimpama Station is not just another station. It was the first new addition to the South East Queensland rail network in nearly a decade.

In October 2025, the station finally opened to the public. We returned to see everything Borber Cranes had achieved on site. It’s incredible to think that there used to be nothing here at all.

When we spoke to Shae-Anne, one thing she told us really stood out. When she said, “It's very cool to be part of something that not many women are part of,” it really struck a chord with us. And she's absolutely right!

Today we wanted to tell you about a Sunday morning, almost like any other for Borger Cranes. ‘Almost’ because we spent it in the centre of Brisbane, surrounded by buildings. A section of the street was blocked off so that technical equipment could be hoisted onto the roof of a building... at a height of almost 100 metres in a very confined space.

Mitch 💪, one of our supervisors, worked for several months to ensure that this delicate operation ran smoothly and in record time to cause as little disruption as possible thanks to our expert teams 💪💪💪💪💪💪
