About Dr Peter Girardi

Dr Peter A Girardi is a highly regarded Specialist General Surgeon now focused on breast, cosmetic and thyroid surgery. With over 10 years of surgical experience and well over 5000 surgical procedures, his knowledge is at the forefront of these surgical techniques for the management of breast and thyroid disease.

Dr Girardi began his career graduating from the University of Adelaide in the year 2000 and was immediately recommended to surgical training having demonstrated excellent technical abilities from early on as the then youngest graduate from the Adelaide Medical School. After commencing surgical training, he travelled to Sydney and completed postgraduate surgical training at St Vincent's Hospital Darlinghurst, Sydney.

Having obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS), he spent a further 12 months post fellowship training in Laparoscopic Surgery and Surgical Oncology at St Vincent's Hospital Sydney & Royal North Shore Hospital with a predominate focus on diseases of the breast and thyroid.

In addition to training as a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, he has completed fellowship training in cosmetic surgery with the Australasian College of Cosmetic Surgery to complement his skin cancer and breast surgery interests. Dr Girardi has worked with some of Australia's leading cosmetic surgeons and has rapidly developed a reputation internationally.

A devoted father and loving husband to his wife and two young children, he continues to be a strong supporter of the local community, schools and various breast cancer related charities and other breast organisations.

Well regarded by his patients as an excellent communicator and caring surgeon, his compassionate, gentle and informative approach to his patients is well received.
