At Emsee (formerly Australian Menopause Centre), we are dedicated to supporting women through every stage of menopause with compassionate care, personalised treatment, and resources that empower you to take control of your health. We will recommend a starting point for your treatment based on your medical history as well as your current symptoms. We encourage your regular feedback so that we can understand how best to address your symptoms over time. To this end, as part of your treatment program we make regular contact with you. Based on your feedback, relevant medical history and any investigation results, we will counsel you and the doctor will prescribe medication if necessary. Simply put, menopause occurs when your ovaries stop producing hormones โ€“ especially the oestrogens. When this happens, you start experiencing the classic symptoms of menopause such as Hot Flushes, Night Sweats, Vaginal Dryness, Irritability, Mood Swings, Headaches, Low energy and Low libido. In some women Menopause can start in their mid 30โ€™s. In other cases women can go through menopause in their late 40โ€™s or even 50โ€™s.
