I was very lucky to have a strong mother who took me to the gym when I was a little kid. It was just normal for me and now I get to help mothers do the same 😁💪

We need strong women! The world needs you ladies!

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the women who show up: not just for their families, but for themselves. Because when a mother is strong, she raises a strong generation.

The science is clear:
📊 Children of active mothers are 2x more likely to be physically active themselves (Moore et al., Journal of Pediatrics)

🧠 Daughters who watch their mothers move with confidence and self-respect develop higher body esteem and healthier self-image (Handford, Rapee & Fardouly, 2018)

💡 Maternal role modeling of healthy active behaviors has a greater influence on children than almost any other factor (European Journal of Public Health, 2017)

Strong women don’t just change their own lives. They rewrite the story for the next generation.

Happy International Women’s Day to every mother who picks up the bar, shows up on the hard days, and teaches her kids — without saying a word —> what strength really looks like. 🌹

Rita and I train together because hard things done side by side build something that transfers everywhere. Into how you communicate under pressure, how you show up for each other, and how you face challenges without looking for the easy way out.

Health and resilience aren’t things you switch on when life demands it. You build them quietly, consistently, in the everyday choices nobody sees.

That’s the environment we’re creating. That’s the standard we’re setting. Long before we have little eyes watching. 🙃

I get asked all the time about teenagers training.

“We don’t have teenagers-only classes.”

Yes they can train at Flo Strength if you train too!

And honestly, I think that’s one of the best things about what we do.

Some of our teenagers train alongside their parents in our regular classes. And I think that’s pretty special.

When I was 14 or 15, I started training with the adults on my handball team. Those sessions shaped me more than I realised at the time.

I learned from the older players around me.
How to show up.
How to work hard.
How to stop complaining.
What standards looked like. (How to pack your bag and not forget half of what you need, clean up the locker room after training, caring for your team mates, etc…)

They became role models without even trying.

Today, I see the same thing happening in our gym.

Kids watching their parents train.
Parents showing their kids what discipline looks like.
Families sharing something challenging together.

I’m not even talking about the physical benefits of training here.

I’m talking about the lessons.

Because when a kid grows up seeing their parents show up, work hard, and take care of their health, those standards become normal.

And those are lessons they will carry for the rest of their life.

If you want your kids to train, you need to lead by example. Reach out and we will get this organised (you will not be coaching your kids, that’s our role).

Eat real food and skip processed food 🤷‍♂️

Don’t count calories, don’t worry so much about portions, just don’t put food in your body that will not nourish your body and disrupts it natural function.

I don’t wear luxury brands.

Not because I can’t.
Because I value standards more than status.

Clothes communicate what you paid.

Your physique communicates how you live.

One reflects disposable income.
The other reflects discipline.

One signals taste.
The other signals self respect.

In a world obsessed with labels, I am more interested in habits.

Because you can purchase status.
But you earn standards.

You cannot buy consistency.
You cannot outsource discipline.
You cannot fake the presence that comes from taking care of yourself.

A luxury shirt won’t build a luxury physique.

But high standards will.
