Question: Why use 2 candles for Ancestor work?

It’s my preferred practice to light a candle to represent both the maternal and paternal lineage that preceded me. Not only are both my parents deceased, but the energies on the other side are culturally different, but I’ve found they respond differently when they’re acknowledged as such.

Separating the candles gives each lineage space to be seen, honoured, and worked with directly, rather than blending everything into one generalised “ancestor” current, plus it’s easier to recognise who is stepping forward

This Lunar Eclipse in Virgo closes out another chapter in the Pisces Virgo eclipse cycle and because it is sitting close to the South Node, the emphasis is on release, refinement, and clearing patterns that no longer support your physical health, daily systems, or peace of mind.
