Alive 90.5FM is the community radio station of Parramatta, Cumberland and The Hills. Our signature sports program Sunday Sports Round Up has been running for over 10 years featuring the latest news, interviews, live sport and results from the sporting world from 2pm-5pm. Our regular panel is led by Mike 'The Panther" Allen, along with 'Rocket' Rod Staples, Adam Staples, Dave 'Macdogg' McDonald, Isaac New, Connor Dowling, and our newest member Kirsten Groll. We have regular experts including Dr Michelle O'Shea with her Doctor's view, Mike Stacey with AFL, Bob Turner with Blacktown City FC, basketball and baseball plus more. We are close supporters of NSW Rugby League teams Wentworthville Magpies and Hills Bulls, cricket with Parramatta DCC and North West Sydney Hurricanes DCC and Auburn DCC, Sydney AFL with East Coast Eagles and Parramatta Goannas, NSW NPL Football with Blacktown City FC, Hills United FC, Rydalmere FC and Parramatta FC, Rugby with Western Sydney Two Blues plus much much more! Or in the words of the immortal H.G. Nelson, "Where too much sport is never enough!".

Every week we hear from Dr Michelle O'Shea for the Dr's View. As part of this, we have recently started airing podcasts of students from the Western Sydney University Business School.

Our first podcast aired on 31st August, hosted by five 3rd year Sports Mangement students - Zach, Riley, Jayden, Gavin and Joscquin.

They talk anout the A-League and have a look at the low attendances, sharing their thoughts on how how the A-League could win back market share and increase attendances.

The Sunday Sports Roundup team, were devastated to learn of the recent passing of Mike “the Stace” Stacey.

Regular listeners will be familiar with our weekly sessions with Mike where we talked all things AFL, including the obligatory banter about his beloved Giants and the presenters supporting the Swans. He also didn’t miss an opportunity to have a good hearted dig at the presenters that supported ”cross country wrestling”.

Mike had been a regular part of the show since 2012, we saw him more than just a guest presenter. He was part of our SSR family.

The team on Sunday Sports Roundup Up offer their sincere condolences to Mikes family at this difficult time.

Rest in Peace Mike.
