Providing personalised, evidence-based care in Bondi Junction and Glebe, Sydney. George is a qualified Osteopath with more than 20 years of clinical experience. Graduating from Western Sydney University in 2004, he completed a degree in Bachelor of Applied Science Osteopathy followed by a Masters of Osteopathy. George believes in an integrative patient-centered approach to treatment, incorporating spinal joint manipulation, functional osteopathy, exercise prescription, dry needling, and massage. He has experience managing a range of musculoskeletal conditions from occupational overuse syndromes, to sports injuries, back and neck pain, tendonitis, sprains/strains, and disc injuries. An advocate for continued professional development allows him to offer the most effective evidence-based practice

A common belief is that back pain happens because a bone has “slipped” or is “out of alignment”.

The reality, vertebrae are held very securely by strong ligaments, muscles and joint capsules. If they truly moved out of place, it would be a medical emergency.

So why do you have back pain?

Back pain is usually due to a combination of:

Joint stiffness or irritation
Muscle tension or fatigue
Nervous system sensitivity
Reduced movement or load tolerance
