When you live in โ€œpush throughโ€ mode for years, your body adapts.

Cortisol stays elevated.
Blood sugar becomes unstable.
Sleep becomes lighter and less restorative.
Appetite regulation shifts.
Inflammation rises quietly in the background.

Your social media feed is training your nervous system.

This morning, while looking at my feed with my coffee, I realised something.

Lately it has been full of alarming storiesโ€ฆ corruption, scandal, politics, outrage.

And it hit me.

Iโ€™ve been falling for it. Hook, line and sinker.

Not because I went looking for it intentionally โ€” but because the more I watched it, the more my feed filled up with it.

Thatโ€™s how these platforms work.

Our feeds reflect what we engage with.

If we click on fear, outrage, scandal and despairโ€ฆ the algorithm gives us more of it.
And slowly, without realising it, we start living inside a world that feels darker and darker.

But the opposite is also true.

If we follow people who are building thingsโ€ฆ
Growing gardensโ€ฆ
Restoring their healthโ€ฆ
Learningโ€ฆ
Sharing wisdomโ€ฆ
Creating beautyโ€ฆ

Then that becomes the world we see every day.

What we feed our minds shapes our energy.
And our energy shapes the life we build.

So today Iโ€™m making a decision.

Iโ€™m no longer getting pulled into sensationalist drama designed to keep us fearful, angry and distracted.

Instead Iโ€™m choosing to focus on what strengthens life.

Health.
Wisdom.
Calm.
Growth.

Because when we shift our attention toward what nourishes us, everything begins to change.

But fire without rhythm becomes inflammation.

As a predominantly choleric woman myself, I had to learn this the hard way.

But when I tried to live in constant ignition mode, my body pushed back.

Mood fluctuations.
Energy crashes.

What I learned โ€” and what now shapes both my life and my clinic โ€” is this:

Hormones are rhythmic messengers.

Cortisol follows a pattern.
Progesterone rises and falls in a cycle.
Thyroid output responds to stress load.
Insulin responds to timing and fuel.

When a fiery woman overrides rhythm, her hormones lose cadence.

And when hormones lose cadence, everything feels harder.
