What do I eat in a day? I get asked this question a lot?

Why don’t I show it?

❌Your body isn’t the same as mine.

❌Your hormones aren’t the same as mine.

❌Your training load isn’t the same as mine.

❌You’re not the same gender, age, weight or height as me.

❌You don’t have the same fitness or strength level as me.

❌You haven’t worked on progression for years be it via fitness, strength or metabolic health.

❌YOUR needs are NOT the same as mine.

…& you probably wouldn’t believe me, it’s a lot 😂

I post snippets of my meals at times to show how big they are & to show I eat real food.

I post CLIENT meals from recipes I have put together for them that meet their requirements

I post CLIENT meals they’ve put together themselves that align with what their body needs to show how well they eat whilst ‘dieting’ & working with me

Copying someone else’s plate is how comparison quietly becomes restriction.

❌There’s no template, it’s individual.

If you start copying plates instead of understanding your body, you will disconnect from the very thing that creates long-term results- awareness.

You can eat the same ‘meal’ as me or a client but ONE MEAL DOESN’T make your day, week, month or year equal your goal, just as ONE MEAL off track doesn’t mean you won’t achieve your goal.

Instead of asking ‘what do you eat?’, listen to your body & ask ‘what does my body need?’ OR learn what it needs working with a coach who has the education & has helped hundreds & hundreds of people progress or achieve their goals.

I practice what I preach, for ME & MY body because it makes me feel good, it’s my passion & I want to show you it’s possible to win!

You don’t notice until September because you’ve been hiding under layers.

AMAZING!

Carly has a number of injuries & conditions that prevent her from increasing the intensity within the training she can do. This is why her NUTRITION is so important (as it is for anyone) because you can’t out train a poor diet. In this case, Carly physically can’t.

What these results show & prove is NUTRITION is paramount.

Carly is not only eating MORE, she is loving her meals! She has been shown & now established a new routine that not only works for her, but one that is able to work around her commitments including 2 young children.

If you’re not seeing results & not progressing regardless of how much you move your body, you need to fix your food.

You don’t look ‘bulky’ because you lift weights.

You look the same because you’ve never properly built muscle & you’ve never properly cut.

Most people stay stuck in the position of feeling like they’re forever ‘dieting’ because they haven’t spent time eating or lifting heavy enough to grow, OR completed a cut for long enough to get lean.

That toned look you’re after comes from having built enough muscle then losing enough body fat to uncover it.

This means a you need a real build phase followed by a real cut.

Repeat.
Repeat.
Repeat.

A deficit shouldn’t be forever & if it is, you’re not in a true deficit…

You can’t build with no fuel (food).

You can’t complete a successful cut without time & consistency.

Ellee has worked with a few times now & each time made more progress! This block by far has shown the most in such a short amount of time.

Ellee has followed a strength program at home I built for her. She has had one on one coaching a couple of years ago then turned to meal plans. During her breaks, she all but has maintained each time! This shows just how much she has learnt. When Ellee has a goal, she reaches out for the tools & cracks in again!

Like most, Ellees’ mind was playing a big part in her progress & it needed to be worked on during the process. VIRAL RECIPES!

Do they work?

Sometimes.

Will they work for you?

Are you the same weight, height, age, gender & body composition as the influencer/fitness model/coach/qualified nutritionist/dietitan re-creating the recipe?

Chances are, no & the exact recipe will not work for you.

One meal doesn’t create change just like one meal off doesn’t undo your hard work.

I re-create a lot of viral recipes for my clients meal plans because they’re fun & who doesn’t want to be enjoying the food they eat!

The majority of viral recipes do fit within 95% of my clients targets HOWEVER, that one meal, can leave no room to move for all other meals that day.

This WILL result in small, lower calorie meals being required for the rest of the day to compensate.

This can leave the client hungry with no energy & potentially overeating later that day or the following day.

That is why you won’t see change.

What do I do?

I change it. I CUSTOMISE it to each client to give them the best chance at having a satiating day as a whole that meets THEIR nutritional requirements & targets.

The majority of viral recipes are shown by & designed for people ‘already there’ or in a build phase. They’re not in a calorie deficit. They have a lot of muscle mass. They’ve been cycling build & cut phases for years. They aren’t going through peri/menopause, they are consistent with their diet, they have a lot more calories to play with.

If you’re following & making recipes you see on socials & you’re not seeing change, it doesn’t necessarily mean they won’t work for you, they may need adjusting or your diet as a whole does. This requires education or a coach to do it first you!

You look the same because you’ve never properly built muscle & you’ve never properly cut.

Most people stay stuck in a forever deficit (or what they assume is one)-they’re not eating enough to grow yet not consistent enough to get lean.

The toned look you’re after? That’s built muscle & low body fat uncovering it.

That’s means a real build phase followed by a real cut. Repeat.

If you’re done training hard with nothing to show for it, done being hungry & done feeling like you’re going around in circles, you need a plan.

A plan that works. Not your own plan based on winging it or based on what you’ve seen online.

A plan for you. A training &/or nutrition plan designed by a qualified coach.

Learn how weight loss works.
Learn how fat loss works.
Learn the difference.

Learn how to lift weights.
Learn about nutrition.
Learn about your body.

A plan without a ‘plan’ is not a successful one.

If nothing is changing & you think you know what you’re doing, you don’t.

Get a coach.

What could you have achieved last week, the first full week of the new year? Did you make changes? Are you sitting on the fence? Are you waiting for the right time?

There is no right time. Waiting will never make it easier, it’ll only get harder with potential further regression & you’ll have a bigger goal to chase. The best time is now, busy or not. You have to learn to change & create new habits whilst navigating life. If you can do it when you’re busy, you will be able to keep your routines in place no matter the circumstances.
