At , we combine clinical expertise with advanced digital tools to deliver better outcomes for every patient. One of the technologies we use is in-shoe plantar pressure mapping—a system that lets us see exactly how the foot loads in real time inside the shoe.

By placing thin, high-resolution pressure sensors inside a patient’s footwear, we gain accurate insight into:

•High-pressure areas that may lead to pain, callus, or ulceration
•Imbalances related to stroke, arthritis, deformity, or gait changes
•Stability issues or patterns that increase fall risk
•How well current footwear or orthoses are performing

Having appropriate treatment options is always our goal, but the patient needs to wear them consistently to experience any positive outcome. Real-time data allows us to visually show patients how pressure changes with different footwear or orthotic adjustments, helping them understand the “why” behind their treatment. This evidence-based approach often leads to better engagement and stronger long-term adherence.

With this technology, we design more precise, evidence-based solutions, track progress over time, and fine-tune treatment with confidence.

Better insight. Better understanding. Better outcomes.
That’s our commitment at Walk Easy Pedorthics.

was on the road through the Hunter Valley to support a gentleman who has been unable to wear footwear for several years due to complex foot deformity and ongoing issues with recurrent ulcerations related to his condition. Living in a regional area has made accessing specialised care difficult, and long-distance travel to metropolitan services has not been a viable option for him.

To ensure he received appropriate care, we travelled to his location to complete a detailed assessment, obtain accurate measurements, and provide custom-made medical footwear designed to reduce pressure, protect high-risk areas, and support improved healing outcomes. At the final fitting, we achieved a functional and comfortable result, enabling safer mobility while helping minimise the risk of further ulceration.

Although we have just opened a clinic in Newcastle, supporting individuals in regional and remote communities with accessible, evidence-based foot care remains a core focus at Walk Easy.

👟 Leg Length Discrepancy (LLD) Build-Ups in Footwear

Did you know even a small difference in leg length can lead to pain, imbalance, or long-term joint issues? At Walk Easy Pedorthics, we address this with LLD build-ups – a custom modification added to footwear to help even out leg length and improve comfort, mobility, and stability.

✅ Helps reduce hip, knee, and lower back pain
✅ Improves walking symmetry and balance
✅ Can be added to a wide range of medical grade or custom footwear

LLD build-ups are tailored specifically to the individual, ensuring the right height, support, and finish. Whether the difference is due to surgery, injury, or a natural variation, we provide solutions that help restore confidence in every step.

If you think a leg length difference might be affecting your mobility or causing discomfort, reach out to us to discuss your options.

🌊 A few weeks ago, had the privilege of attending the Pedorthic Association of Australia 2025 Conference in beautiful Kingscliff.

It was an incredibly informative event — packed with the latest research, insights into new products on the market, and plenty of opportunities to connect with colleagues from across Australia.

A huge congratulations to for doing such a fantastic job in organising such a valuable and well-run conference. Events like this are so important for advancing our profession and strengthening collaboration.

We’re already looking forward to the next conference in 2026! ✨

👣 Finally, a Proper Fit 👣

After a serious accident many years ago, this client was left with a severely deformed ankle. Since then, finding footwear that actually fit had been a constant struggle — and in most cases, simply not possible.

At Walk Easy Pedorthics, we worked closely with him to create a custom solution that respected his individual needs. Using a series of trial fits, we were able to fine-tune the shape and structure of his last, making small but important adjustments to get the fit just right.

The final result was a pair of custom-made medical grade shoes designed to accommodate his complex anatomy and support all his clinical needs — including stability, alignment, and protection.

For the first time in decades, he walked out wearing footwear that truly worked for him.

Seeing his reaction reminded us that sometimes the smallest steps can mean the most.

🎥 From Cumbersome to Custom – A Better Way to Manage Drop Foot 👣✨

Our client came to us struggling with drop foot, relying on a prefabricated AFO and prefabricated footwear that were bulky, uncomfortable, and have become hard to manage day-to-day.

She needed a solution that would support her safely without compromising comfort or mobility. By combining the AFO and footwear into one streamlined device, it also made daily application far easier and less time-consuming.

We provided a personalised solution: custom-made medical grade footwear with built-in internal AFOs. No more bulky braces. Just a supportive, comfortable, and functional setup made specifically for her needs.

✅ Lightweight and comfortable
✅ Improved stability and foot clearance
✅ Easier to wear and walk in
✅ Seamless support for drop foot
✅ And most importantly — she was thrilled with the end result

Seeing her walk with more ease and confidence was what it’s all about. 💙

🦶 Foot pain shouldn’t stop you from living life to the fullest.

Foot conditions shouldn’t mean giving up the things you love. Our client has always found joy in ocean activities — from swimming to fishing — but ongoing foot issues began to interfere with their ability to enjoy these moments. At Walk Easy Pedorthics, we designed custom-made reef shoes with medical-grade total contact insoles to support their mobility, comfort, and independence. Now, they’re back doing what they love — safely and confidently.

These insoles are carefully designed to complement the footwear by supporting foot structure, improving alignment, and evenly distributing pressure — helping to reduce pain and enhance stability with every step. The result? Footwear that not only fits perfectly but also empowers the client to walk with confidence across sand, rock, and everyday environments.

Whether it’s a stroll along the beach, a walk through the park, or simply being able to perform daily tasks without discomfort — we’re here to help you live life on your terms.
