It’s well recorded and studied in scientific literature, yet continues to elude the conversations between Doctor and patient.

Inflammatory chronic diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia are very treatable and it’s not the lack of natural solutions, rather a lack of education and awareness.

😕The pain. Fatigue. Suffering & Low motivation.

You want to call in sick from work, home and your social life, but you know people are relying on you, so you push on despite feeling terrible.

I know, I’ve been there.

Rheumatoid arthritis made my life hell.

I had two young kids and endless responsibilities. I had no time to be sick.

These four steps are essential to getting better sleep.

1. Set a bedtime and try to stick to it. I know that I want to start to wind down around 9 and to be in bed by 10 every night.

2. Put your phone on airplane mode, shut off the TV, and put away all devices 45 minutes before bed.

3. Use the remaining time to focus on active relaxation. This can include reading, journaling, meditation, or meaningful conversation with loved ones. I like to have a hot bath around 8:30 p.m. Then I read for a little while and write in my gratitude journal.

4. Get exposure to sunlight in the morning. Believe it or not, one of the best ways to reset your circadian rhythm is to expose yourself to about 15 minutes of sunlight in the morning. Instead of looking at your phone first thing, try a meditation or walk outside. Try to get outside a few times a day. At night, close to bedtime, keep the lighting dim. Low lighting sends a signal to your body that it’s time to sleep. Try blue light-blocking glasses after the sun goes down.

📍At age 35 I was diagnosed with the crippling AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE RHEUMATOID ARTHRITIS and the journey to restore my health began.

I was scared, anxious and worried about my future.
It was agonising to move my joints and basic tasks like getting dressed took an enormous effort.

Along with the agonising joint pain, I also suffered with:
❌chronic fatigue,
❌trouble sleeping
❌food allergies
❌brain fog
❌depression
❌circulation problems
❌irregular cycles and moods.

It was devastating to learn the only option doctors could offer me was life-long drug therapy to manage the symptoms of this debilitating disease, whilst never looking at the root causes.

I was terrified of the side-effects of toxic medications like Methotrexate and Plaquenil and I did not want to take them for the rest of my life.

I didn’t want to accept this solution, so instead, I decided, I would restore my health naturally, even though I was told it was impossible.

When I first started, I was nervous because, there was so much information out there and I had no idea what I was doing.

But, after years of research and trial an error, I was able to reverse the symptoms, get off the toxic drugs and get my quality of life back.

Our Story

Healthy diet and lifestyle is key to good health, but there is a difference between a healthy diet and a healing diet. I was diagnosed with the painful auto-immune disease rheumatoid arthritis and was told there was no hope for my recovery. After many years of suffering, research, experimenting and experience, I discovered a pattern of disease. I was able to successfully heal my body and eliminate the drugs. It became apparent to me that healing is not a one size fits all approach and each person should make individual choices, which best suits their body. Even though everyone should follow a low fat, plant based, whole food diet, each program needs to be tailored to fit the individual. For instance, tomatoes, grains, apples and onions are just a few healthy foods, but some people react badly to them and they become foods that cause inflammation instead of heal. On top of a wholefood diet, healing depends on exercise, rest, stress reduction, sunshine, positive attitude, reducing toxins (environmental and emotional) and having support. I run educational workshops on a variety of things including how to make sauerkraut, sourdough breads, probiotic drinks and bone broths. I also offer a 4-week anti-inflammatory program that focuses on your individual health goals and symptoms, while educating you on gut health, self-control and mental fatigue, acid/alkaline balance, detoxing, juicing, fermented foods, food introduction lists and so, so much more.
