✨ Closing My Books for 2025 ✨

What an incredible year 2025 has turned out to be for me! My heart is full with gratitude to the families who invited me to walk alongside them on their sacred journeys through pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. 💛

I’m officially closing my books for 2025—and I’m so grateful for the trust and love of each family who has chosen me to be part of their story.

If you’re dreaming of support for 2026, now is the time to reach out—I’d love to connect and hold space for you!

Here’s to all the babies, the mamas, and the journeys yet to unfold. Thank you for continuing to support me to do this work—it’s truly an honour.

Just jumping on here to let my current clients know I will be away from communication for a few days as I grieve my beautiful boy Dodge. Tomorrow we will be freeing him from his pain and suffering, and I will need a few days to process this. 🌿New Research: The Power of Doula Support🌿

Here’s a meaningful update from the birthing research front—one that truly validates what we doulas have long known:

A recent randomized controlled trial (published July 2025) in BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth demonstrated that having a chosen companion during labour (i.e. a Doula)—someone you trust and feel safe with—significantly enhances not only your comfort and satisfaction during birth, but also your physical, emotional, and sociocultural comfort in the early postpartum period. These benefits weren’t just about the moment of birth—they extended into recovery, offering you a gentler, more supported transition into parenthood. This study reminds us that emotional presence and supportive connection are vital components of healing and empowerment. ✨ A Little Social Media Honesty ✨

I’ll admit it—social media does not come naturally to me. Between supporting families, being present with my own loved ones, and living life outside the screen, it can feel hard to keep up here. I struggle to find a balance with taking a few minutes a day to post

But I also know how important it is to connect, share wisdom, and reach those who might need a reminder that they’re not alone on this journey. So, while I may not post perfectly or consistently, I promise to keep showing up in the most authentic way I can. Thank you for being here—it truly means the world.

✨2026 Offerings Now Open✨
Can you believe that 2025 is halfway through?! I hope you are all having a beautiful 2025. My 2026 Doula support availability is officially open for 2026, and I am already receiving bookings, so please enquire as soon as possible to avoid disappointment! I only offer support for one birthing family a month as I want to ensure you have exclusive access to my availability and time. I acknowledge that I am the only birth Doula in Gladstone and South of the Gladstone region (Bundaberg), so occasionally if the births happen to align in the beginning and end of the month, I can make myself available for two births a month. Please connect with me if your birth month is unavailable. I will continually update this post, so check back in!

🖤💛❤️Honouring NAIDOC Week❤️💛🖤

This week we have paused to honour the strength, wisdom, & resilience of the traditional custodians of this land, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.

As a Doula, I deeply acknowledge the power of First Nations birth practices, stories, and ancestral knowledge that have supported generations of mothers and babies long before the modern medical systems of today. Did you know first nations peoples have been birthing in water for centuries? They have always known the wisdom of the water. We need to fight harder for the rights of women to birth on country and be supported by first nations maternity services.

🌄Birth is sacred—and so is the culture, language, and land it happens on.

During NAIDOC week, and always, I stand in solidarity, respect, and deep listening. May we all continue to learn, unlearn, and walk gently. ✨

🌻Leave the mess, Mama🌻

In postpartum, the laundry piles up, the dishes stack high, and the house might not feel like home anymore. But you just did something extraordinary. Your purpose right now is to heal, bond, and rest—not hustle.

✨ It’s okay to leave the mess.
✨ It’s okay to nap instead of tidy.
✨ It’s okay to ask for help or let things wait.

And—if doing the dishes clears your mind or folding a little laundry gives you peace—that’s okay too.

There’s no right way to do postpartum. Only your way. Be gentle with yourself. You are enough, just as you are. 🤍

Every family I support has unique needs, goals, and circumstances. That’s why I don’t offer rigid packages or fixed pricing. Instead, I co-create a care plan with each client that reflects your values, your birth vision, and your season of life.

This approach allows me to offer deep, intuitive, and personalised care—not just a service, but a relationship built on trust, flexibility, and mutual respect.
