It was a huge day, at our skills group today.
A stop at the Nuriootpa Library, to show our support to share why we love going to the library. - keep an eye out for some videos.

Followed by some Happy Gilmore golfing. We had some huge hits where a driver (I think 🤔) was the victim.
Huge hits do that to sub standard clubs apparently.

Then a picnic lunch, some communication games and a big game of bush hide and seek. Being an adult doesn't mean we can't have fun with mates.

Therapy support can involve assessing everyday challenges and coming up with innovative ways to create access.
Accommodation in home, community, work and education don’t always need to be complex.
Check out this simple accommodation for a client who needed support with a new fancy oven.
Some simple stickers have created access and opportunity to cook independently again.

Today we are enjoying a free day at the Fringe. Our day started at Fools Paradise where we enjoyed a variety show.
Clients favourites were,
'The beer keg dude'
'The pole dancing was clever, the hoops and acrobats'
'The magic show at the end'
Then lunch at The Garden of Unearthly Delights, before the RAA Garden Party

A year ago this client would not even be in the same room as paints and crafts. Using strewing techniques throughout the year has provided an opportunity for the client to interact with these materials when they were ready.
Now they are painting their hands and creating masterpieces for the Angaston Show

A great evening at the Adelaide Fringe watching Trash Test Dummies show. We all have sore mouths and stomachs from all the laughter.
Some of our clients opinions:
I liked all the tricks they did.
The one that took off his clothes and when they told our friend to be quite.
When they had the funeral it was sad and then he was alive so it was funny.
When they made music with the bins.

Sharing hobbies, talents and skills is a human behaviour we all need opportunities to engage in. It evokes feelings of mastery, confidence and pride.
Yesterday's session one of my clients introduced me to the art of pyrography, which is the art of decorating wood with burn marks.
