On Friday, the group adventured out to Waitui Falls for a refreshing nature walk and swim.

Everyone enjoyed exploring new surroundings, taking in the beautiful scenery, and embracing the chance to try something new!

Last week, our Friday Group had an amazing day out at Smiths Lake! Participants enjoyed snorkelling and stand-up paddle boarding, building confidence, teamwork, and water skills. All while having plenty of laughs and fun in the sun.

Group activities like these are a great way to stay active, connect with others, and experience new things in a supportive environment.

A respite isn’t just a new experience for participants it’s also a valuable opportunity for families to take a well-deserved break. Respite supports participants in building independence, learning daily living skills, and exploring new environments with confidence.

Recently, Samantha enjoyed an incredible trip to Queensland, where she visited Australia Zoo, Movieworld, and much more!

She had a fantastic time making memories, trying new things, and continuing to grow her independence in a fun and supportive way.

This morning, our Yuulangga participants enjoyed exploring the beach at Wallabi Point! 🐚

They discovered so many colourful starfish and even came across a sea snail – a wonderful way to connect with nature and each other.

Playdough isn’t just fun — it’s also a great way to build fine motor skills, spark creativity, and encourage imagination in children. 💡✨

It’s hands-on, engaging, and full of learning opportunities… all while having fun!

Some of our participants recently travelled down to the Hunter Valley Winter Wonderland for a magical day out — and for a few, it was their first time seeing snow!

There was plenty of fun to be had: snowball fights, building snowmen, and tubing down the snowy slopes brought out lots of laughter and joy. We also took a stroll through the beautiful gardens, exploring displays of classic nursery rhymes brought to life.

A day full of wonder, fun, and unforgettable memories!

On Tuesday, our participants came together for a memorable day filled with learning, laughter, and connection.

We lit a bonfire and cooked a hearty stew from scratch, alongside some delicious handmade damper. Everyone got involved in the process, learning new cooking skills and enjoying great conversations around the fire.

We even crafted our own knives out of sticks — getting creative with nature! Later in the day, we visited a local farm and had the chance to meet some adorable lambs 🐑

A wholesome day of connection, learning, and fun!

Our School Holiday Program is in full swing, and our participants have had a blast — from the TreeTop Adventure Park, Fishing, Naidoc Celebrations to taking on the Kmart Challenge!

It’s been a fun-filled week of building confidence, friendships, and memories.

We love supporting our participants to try new things and enjoy every moment!

Our participant has been enjoying both social and community activities, as well as engaging in daily tasks around their home.
