Maria's personal development and horsemanship skills have come a long way at Bringing Smiles to Life. An it has been my pleasure to have been a part of that facilitation journey, and witness her growth and becoming. The BSL experience is so much more than just spending time with horses - Its about building confidence, resilience and inner strength to face life's challenges.

One of the best greatest opportunities of my work at Bringing Smiles to Life is hanging out with the horses and getting to connect with new people.
It has been really super getting to know Evie, who is growing more self-confident every week on her BSL journey. Today we worked on *communication skills & *lead in hand management".

Bringing Smiles to Life has always been passionate to get alongside person's pursuing wellness. Recovery is real & Hope is stubborn.
This rad move was during my employment in the IPU ward at Manning Base Hospital. An through the beautiful generousity of others ~ thousands of dollars were raised for Destiny Rescue.
*1.2million children ~ that shook me. 💔
Just like su***de stats today are increasing, these numbers are not statistics. Their children, young adults, people you know, futures, stories...

Bringing Smiles to Life has recently been able to provide Maria with the opportunity for some adventure with Tilly, our girl from Barrington Tops. Think Maria has caught the "brumby bug" 🐴
Working with brumby's is highly sensitive, and gentle work but wanting to share a glimpse of these precious moments.💥😍
Maria's horsemanship skills and self regulation has grown immensely through her commitment to personal growth here, this has opened a whole new level of confidence, connection and fun with the horses. An of course theres also a touch of Frankie; making an appearance, as he doesn't like to miss out on anything.

Evie stepped out of her comfort zone this week, to try on some new activities. Value & creativity cards, lunge throw & recoil, whip crack, breath work with some mounted balance & co ordination.

Ever wished "time would stand still"? 🐴
Bringing Smiles to Life has held a host of lovely moments for me. An then other times when I've had to embrace change and make adjustments.

At Bringing Smiles to Life 🌿
Evie, after spending some initial time working with Fred, was introduced to Frankie this week. The thing about horses — much like people — is that each one is wonderfully unique 🐴 Right now, Evie is focusing on partnering with the horses and developing her lead-in-hand horse management skills. This kind of work needs a blend of calm breath control and confident use of your voice — It’s about connection, just as much as technique.
Every horse has something special we can learn from them — if we take time to listen. 💛

Flashback Friday at Bringing Smiles to Life ✨
Today we’re going on a little journey back in time — to these majestic stables once filled by our LOCAL Olympic Equestrian Rider, Johnny Faye, who proudly competed in Tokyo, 1964.
Johnny remains, in my view, one of Australia’s most successful competitors, and in 2016 he was inducted into the Equestrian Hall of Fame 🏅
What an incredible legacy! 🤎
