My flower arranging skills may not be quite top notch but I am so proud of these carnations that I raised from seeds. I planted the whole packet and each day I walk down to my greenhouse and pick a few.

And, they keep on coming. These are just a few of our organic apples that we have collected in the past few days. They're displayed in the wonderful cane basket presented to me by my lovely mother at Christmas.

I've already given away several bags of apples but it looks like I will have to corner someone and 'donate' these too.

Six trays of apples to dry, one bottle of pureed apples to use in an apple crumble made with rolled oats and cacao bits, one bottle of apples fermenting to give an apple cider tasting alternative to those pureed, and one big bowl of apples to still use - and that tree is still bursting with fruit! We have another seven trees, all ready at differing times, so I think we will have apples for quite some time yet. Which I, for one, am very happy about, to say nothing about how happy the Grandkids will be to get their fingers on the dried apples. Life's good.

Windfalls, but the Grandkids will love them when dried in my dehydrator - a job for this afternoon. It's the start of a brand new apple season in which I am thinking there will be bottles and bottles of dried apples for them to devour.

It's funny how I can visit my vegie garden every day and nothing seems to be growing at all, but go away for a couple of days and the growth is crazy. Beans, peas, and strawberries. Just a few raspberries now but that's okay seeing we have already eaten, well not bucket loads, but lots.

I slightly overcooked some of the onions in the vegie garden, in that they went to seed and had a very hard central stem in the middle of the onions. So I decided to dry the pieces I could use. It's the first time I've dried onions and I found the house smelt very oniony for a time. Still, all good, and now my onions will last so much longer.

For a couple of weeks now, everyday, I have picked a handful (or more) of these raspberries from my vegie garden, and every evening we eat them with yoghurt and blueberries... And sometimes mango. Fresh raspberries - nothing better... Until the next delicious thing, of course.
