There are no scheduled Om Yum events.

Come to Om Yum for some time out with a difference. In the peace and quiet of 55 acres, you can move and stretch in a yoga class that is suitable for all levels of yogis, including beginners. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious meal that has been freshly prepared in our commercial kitchen.

Chakras aren't magic or religious. You might be skeptical - or roll your eyes lovingly at the mention of them - and that's totally fair! But what if we treated chakras as a simple self-check tool? A poetic way to ask: 'How am I, really?':
❤️ Root (base of spine): Do I feel supported & safe? Have I eaten well & slept enough today? Do I feel grounded or scattered?
🧡 Sacral (lower belly): Am I feeling fully or numbing out? Did I do anything today that sparked curiosity, joy or creativity?
💛 Navel (upper belly): Am I acting with intention or from obligation? Am I saying yes to things I actually want? Do I feel stuck or in control?
💚 Heart (centre of chest): What relationships feel nourishing right now? Can I receive kindness and love as easily as I give it?
💙 Throat (base of neck): Am I saying what I mean with truth and kindness? Am I truly listening or just waiting to respond?
💜 Third eye (between eyebrows): Am I trusting my instincts or overanalysing? What's the quiet voice within me saying? What is one pattern that I keep repeating that I want to change?
🤍 Crown (top of head): How do I best zoom out to see the bigger picture and feel connected? Am I making space for reflection or just reacting to life? What's one belief or value guiding my choices right now?

These questions aren’t about unlocking cosmic secrets - they are simply invitations to tune in. To notice what is stirring beneath the surface. So next time we roll out our mat (or just roll out of bed), maybe we pick one question and sit with it. No incense required 😉, just a little curiosity.

🧘‍♀️ Yoga + Beekeeping = Path to Well–Bee–ing 🌿🍯
I came across a new phrase today: Apitherapy.
As a beekeeper, how have I never heard this before?
Apitherapy is the centuries-old practice of using bee products - like honey, propolis, royal jelly, beeswax, and even bee venom - for healing. With roots in ancient Egypt, Greece, and China, it’s traditionally used for physical recovery, but is now gaining attention for its support of mental wellbeing too.

Then there’s something called Living Apitherapy - the restorative benefits that come from simply being with bees. It’s the focused attention that arises while observing their movements. The sense of calm that follows a session at the hive. I might not have hard science to back it up, but I’ve felt it firsthand - and I understand why researchers are now exploring its potential to support people recovering from stress, trauma, and other health challenges.

Like yoga, beekeeping invites presence, balance, and connection—with our surroundings and ourselves.
Yoga and/or bees? I’ve got your well-bee-ing covered! 🤣

Tapas means ‘to burn’ in yoga philosophy. (No, we are not discussing Spanish appetisers!). Think of it as our yogic willpower and fiery commitment. Tapas means we keep showing up, even when motivation is low. It’s the internal fire that says “Yes, I will hold this warrior pose for another breath!”. Tapas inspires us to leave the comfy lounge in front of the fire in winter and go to a yoga class. (The heating is on, but also feel free to bring a blanket 😘🔥)

Surprise, surprise ( ) ...yoga class is cancelled tomorrow. Will hopefully be back on Monday after a spectacularly sunny weekend ☀️🤞🌞. We are fine on the Om Yum farm and thinking of you all in Tele Point and surrounds 🕉
