✨ Thats a wrap for 2025! ✨

The entire team has worked incredibly hard this year so we are giving them a very well deserved break.

The practice will be closed from 5:30pm this afternoon, Wednesday 24th December 2025 and will reopen on Monday 5th January 2026 at 8am (8:30am for the phone lines).

If you require urgent medical attention during the practice closure, please call 000 for an ambulance or present to your nearest emergency department. 🚑🏥

Maitland Medicare Urgent Care Clinic, located at 8/555 High Street, Maitland, will remain open 7 days a week during the holiday period, including Christmas day and Boxing day. The Urgent Care clinic is a walk in and bulk billed service that can be used for non-life-threatening conditions that doesn't require the emergency department but can't wait until a GP appointment is available. 🩺

For non-emergency or urgent care, patients can call 13SICK on 13 74 25 for a telephone or home visit appointment. 🩺

2025 brought its challenges but it also brought us so much happiness, love, laughter and friendship 💝. We look forward to going into 2026 with our incredible team and the amazing surprises that we have coming.

✨ RETIREMENT ✨

Our beautiful Barbara is heading off into retirement!

Barb has been one of the friendly faces behind the front desk at Tenambit Medical Centre for the last 5 years.
Barb has been in the health industry for 55+ years, working at various practices across the Hunter.
We are so lucky that Barb chose Tenambit as her "home" for the last 5 years.

All the staff at TMC would like to thank Barb for her dedication to the practice over the years and wish her a happy, safe, fun & exciting future. 🥰

We are partnering with 4Cyte Pathology and are opening a new pathology room here at TMC!
Their first official opening day will be this Wednesday 17th September.

4Cyte pathology will be here each Wednesday and Friday between 8am & 3pm.

No appointment is necessary, just head on down to the surgery during their opening hours to have your pathology tests completed.

Happy August TMC Community!

On Monday 4/8 we welcome the start of our new GP Registrar Dr Yusra Hassan. Dr Hassan will be practicing Monday-Fridays at TMC and is accepting new patients!

Later in the month, on Monday 18/8 Dr Cameron Smith starts his first day as a tenant GP at TMC. Dr Smith will be practicing Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays and is also accepting new patients. Please note that Dr Smith is already booked out for a few weeks after he starts.

In addition to Dr Hassan and Dr Smith taking on new patients, Dr Payne and Dr Partridge are also still accepting new patients.

We have been sitting on this news for a few weeks now and are so happy we can finally announce it to the community!

Cameron will be practicing 4 days a week. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday & Fridays

TMC will be closing early tomorrow, Friday 20th June at 12pm, while we have some flooring replaced.
