Being from Mackay I've been a metallurgical coal miner for going on 16 years this year. I left school (was asked by the deputy principal who was my rugby union coach very politely to leave due my not wanting to be there πŸ˜…) mid final year and was head first involved in the Drill and Blast process, and further mining in general ever since. I have however been heavily involved in, run, owned or operated many different fitness and boxing businesses and facilities which is what really brought me here to social media as I'm not the A-typical social media type πŸ˜…

As I've been especially slack of late, I have decided to share more of what it is I do and what I decide to waste my time on. Never thought I'd make the front page of any paper let alone Mackay's (without needing a lawyer πŸ˜…πŸ’πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ)

With the Pioneer Valley Boxing Club we had a tin shed, a few hanging bags and a work ethic like I haven't found anywhere since.

Due to nothing more than great coaches and mentoring that place produced multiple state, national and now (with the then younger guys mature and thrashing the pro ranks) international superstars.

Seeing this picture was a big reminder to me as to how little we really need to achieve great things... I miss that tin shed ✌🏼

Watermelon is a good source of vitamin C, contains decent amounts of potassium, copper, vitamin B5, and vitamin A (from beta carotene). It is a good source of the amino acid citrulline and the antioxidant lycopene, which play important roles in your body... AKA, it's good πŸ’© πŸ‘ŒπŸΌ

Watermelon consists mostly of water (91%) and carbs (7.5%). It provides almost no protein or fat and is very low in calories.

The nutrients in 2/3 cup (100 grams) of raw watermelon are:

Calories: 30
Water: 91%
Protein: 0.6 grams
Carbs: 7.6 grams
Sugar: 6.2 grams
Fiber: 0.4 grams
Fat: 0.2 grams
