In moments of uncertainty, finding steady ground within ourselves can feel powerful. This beautiful guided meditation by Ericka Jones invites you to soften, breathe, and reconnect with a sense of calm and balance.
Through gentle awareness of sounds, sensations, and thoughts — without attachment or judgment — this practice helps cultivate equanimity, peace, and clarity.
If life feels a little unsettled right now, this is your reminder: you can return to stillness at any time. https://insighttimer.com/ejones/guided-meditations/march-meditation

Participants Needed – Research on Stress & Eating Behaviours 🤍
We’re sharing an opportunity from Curtin University for individuals who have experienced stressful life events and changes in eating behaviours.
This research is exploring the relationship between stressful life events and disordered eating symptoms, and may be relevant for those with lived experience.
Participation involves a brief screener and, if eligible, a confidential 60-minute interview (online or in person). All responses are de-identified.
Research like this helps improve understanding, treatment approaches and support pathways for people experiencing eating difficulties.
If you’re interested in contributing to important research in this space, you can find more details via the link or QR code in the post.
As always, if this topic brings up anything for you, please reach out for professional support.

The wonderful InsideOut Institute is currently offering free online treatment programs for people experiencing eating disorders.
This can be a really helpful starting point for education, insight and guided support — especially if you’re unsure where to begin.
However, eating disorders are complex conditions, and some people may require more personalised, in-person treatment. If you’re struggling, we strongly encourage seeking support from an AHPRA-registered healthcare professional who can provide individualised care.
If you’d like to explore the InsideOut program, you can access it here:

Remember — reaching out is a sign of strength. Support is available, and recovery is possible.

If you’ve experienced a psychological injury at work, you don’t have to navigate the Workers Compensation system alone.
In NSW, SIRA-accredited WorkCover Psychologists are specially trained to support people recovering from work-related stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and other psychological injuries.
Here’s how they can help:
✔️ Comprehensive psychological assessments
✔️ Evidence-based treatment (including CBT and counselling)
✔️ Support throughout your Workers Compensation claim
✔️ Return-to-work planning tailored to your needs
✔️ Workplace recommendations to support recovery
✔️ Professional reporting for insurers and stakeholders
The goal is simple: to support your recovery and help you safely return to work when you’re ready.
At Moving Forward, Paul Corcoran and Elijah Ward are SIRA-accredited psychologists and experienced in working within the NSW Workers Compensation system.
If you’re unsure where to start, speak with your GP, insurer, or reach out to our team for guidance.

Accessing Medicare Rebates for Psychology 🤍
Did you know you may be eligible for Medicare rebates for your psychology sessions?
If your GP prepares a Mental Health Care Plan, Medicare may rebate $145.25 per session for up to 10 sessions per calendar year.
If you have an Eating Disorder Management Plan, Medicare may cover rebates for up to 40 sessions (eligibility criteria applies).
We know navigating Medicare can feel confusing — but you don’t have to do it alone. Speak with your GP about your options, or reach out to us and we can help guide you through the process.

At Moving Forward, we often talk about the importance of recognising what is within your control — and gently letting go of what isn’t.
We can’t control other people’s opinions, the past, the future, or external events. But we can control our attitude, our boundaries, our self-talk, the way we respond, and who we choose to spend our time with.
When we shift our focus back to our own energy and actions, we reduce overwhelm and increase resilience. This simple but powerful framework helps create clarity, emotional regulation, and a stronger sense of personal agency.
Sometimes progress isn’t about changing the world around you — it’s about reclaiming control over the small, meaningful choices you make every day.

As Sydney celebrates Mardi Gras this month, we’re reminded of the importance of inclusion, safety and affirmation in mental health care.

At Moving Forward, we are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive and non-judgemental space for people of all sexual orientations, gender identities and expressions. Everyone deserves to feel seen, respected and supported — exactly as they are.

Mental health support should be a place where you don’t have to explain or defend who you are. It should be a place where you can feel safe to show up fully 😊
