This Sunday the 12th, Coronation Park will once again come alive with handmade creations, delicious food, and that one-of-a-kind Channon community vibe.
💵🌿 49 Years of Cash at The Channon Craft Market 🌿💵
For 49 years, cash has been the lifeblood of The Channon Craft Market. Long before Wi-Fi signals, QR codes, and “tap and go,” our community has been swapping coins and notes for art, food, music, and memories. And guess what? We don’t plan on giving it up anytime soon. ✌️
Here’s why:
✨ Cash is freedom – no machines telling you “transaction declined” because the valley swallowed the signal.
✨ Cash is fair – no banks clipping a fee off your $6 macramé keyring. The whole lot goes straight to the maker.
✨ Cash is tradition – this is a cottage industry market, built on face-to-face exchanges and grassroots creativity.
Of course, many of our stallholders now have EFTPOS too — but cash keeps everyone included and everything flowing the way it has for nearly five decades.
Practical reminders:
👉 Two ATMs on site, but queues can be long.
👉 Car parking is $3 cash only.
👉 Stallholders – don’t forget to bring cash for stall fees.
