We’re pleased to welcome Dr. Elizabeth C. Wessels to The Gap Village Doctors 👩‍⚕️

Dr. Wessels is an experienced General Practitioner who provides compassionate, holistic care for patients of all ages. She brings over 10 years of GP experience from South Africa, followed by continued practice in Imbil and Gympie since relocating to Australia.

Dr. Wessels holds an MBChB from the University of Pretoria, a Diploma in Diabetes, and became a Fellow of the RACGP in 2025. Her approach to care is evidence-based and patient-centred, with a strong focus on long-term health and wellbeing.

Clinical interests include:
• Mental health care
• Diabetes & cardiovascular risk management
• Women’s health & screening
• Paediatrics & family medicine
• Geriatric care & healthy ageing
• Skin checks, biopsies & minor procedures

Dr. Wessels will be joining us from 3rd February 2026, consulting on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. She is now accepting patients and looks forward to supporting individuals and families in our community.
